Here’s my @lovable + @cursor_ai workflow for building MVPs.

Nothing beats this combo.

I’ve shipped 12+ real products using it. Here’s the full breakdown ↓

1/ Start in @lovable

Every MVP starts inside Lovable.

Why? It lets me build full apps visually with:
• Supabase auth (email, Google, magic links)
• Stripe integration (checkout, subscriptions)
• OpenAI-powered features
• Fully responsive frontend flows

This saves me days of manual coding.
3
2/ Build 70–80% inside Lovable

I don’t jump to code immediately.

First I complete:
• All core screens
• Page routing
• Basic backend setup
• External integrations (Stripe, OpenAI)

Lovable handles most of this without a single line of code.

3/ Sync to GitHub, move to @cursor_ai

Once the base is solid, I sync the Lovable project to GitHub and open the repo inside Cursor.

This is where I switch from visual → code.

Why? Lovable handles 80% and Cursor helps me fix and optimize the remaining 20%.

4/ Fix integration bugs inside Cursor

Sometimes Lovable:
• Misconfigures Stripe flows
• Misses edge cases in API calls
• Doesn’t handle all auth scenarios

I use Cursor to:
• Debug and fix Stripe setup
• Secure Supabase calls
• Add error handling and fallback logic
6
5/ Push back to GitHub → Lovable auto-syncs

Once I’m done fixing and refining in Cursor, I push the changes to GitHub.

Lovable automatically syncs the updated code.
Now the updated backend logic lives inside a visual editor again.
I continue working on top of it.
7
6/ Final visual polish back in Lovable

Cursor is great for logic, but not UI fine-tuning.

Lovable makes it easy to:
• Resize buttons
• Add logic to components
• Tweak layout
• Adjust styling visually

I wrap the project with final polish here.
8
7/ Why this workflow works

Most devs either:
• Stay stuck in the visual tool too long
or
• Jump to code too early

I use both at the right time:
• Lovable for speed and structure
• Cursor for optimization and control

It’s the perfect feedback loop.
9
8/ Summary: My Lovable + Cursor workflow

• Build base app in Lovable (auth, Stripe, OpenAI)
• Sync to GitHub → open in Cursor
• Fix bugs, secure endpoints, clean logic
• Push to GitHub → auto-syncs back to Lovable
• Final UI polish in visual editor

Speed + flexibility = fast, production-ready MVPs
