If anyone knows anything about “wokeness” CRT, the national anthem and being a real American, it’s Brett Favre

A (short) thread
@BrettFavre
Brett Favre@BrettFavre
I heard:

There was no televised National Anthem for Sugar Bowl yesterday.

Instead a DEI message by @Allstate CEO.

Woke is a joke.

Brett Favre is a descendant of Simon Favre, a famous“interpreter” who could speak multiple native languages.

Simon entered the family business at a young age and owned dozens of slaves and 100s of acres

But that wasn’t the family business.

The Favres stole land

The scam worked like this:

The Favres would move near a native tribe, earn their trust and convince native Americans that giving up their land & assimilating was in their best interest.

In exchange, they could keep some of the stolen land

Simon was BORN FOR THIS

Now the Favres started doing this before America even existed, so he initially worked for the French. Then he went to for the Spanish King…

And since he was getting paid in money AND and free land, he used his loot to buy 2 things

Guns and slaves

He’d sell (or even give) guns to whichever Native chief liked him best and convince his new “friend” that the govt would work with him, if they could prove they controlled the area. Of course, the leaders would use their new guns to vanquish their rivals & sign a worthless treaty

Then, Simon would ignore the treaty & disburse the stolen land to white people.

But Simon had a problem:

He couldn’t be trusted

He’d throw natives under the bus. He’d help natives rob white settlers . He’d help France attack Spanish land & vice versa and everyone knew it

To be fair, Favre wasn’t loyal to anyone. He was married but kept a sidechick in every village.
He called them “wives” & since some were daughters of chiefs, his “marriages” made him part of the tribe.

Look, I’d never slut shame but there’s a whole section of his Wikipedia page devoted to his hoeishness

Many people know that the enslaved Black people and fought on the British side in the War of 1812 for the promise of freedom. A few know that a confederacy of Native Americans fought, with the British, who promised to return their stolen land.

But do you know who DIDN’T?

The Choctaw

Tecumseh, the native confederacy leader REALLY wanted the Choctaw to help fight the white land thieves. But Pushmata, the Choctaw leader & perhaps the greatest of the warrior chiefs wasn’t buying it. Pushmata told Tecumseh to kick rocks

I know you’re thinking:
10
What does this have to do with Brett Favre?

Well, Brett Favre is not just a descendent of Simon Favre. He is a descendant of Alexander Favre…

The son of Simon Favre and his Choctaw mistress.

Guess who Alex married?

Guess who convinced Chief Pushmata not to join Tecumseh and fight for their land?

In exchange, the Choctaw got to keep their land…

Until the US invalidated the treaty and stole their land in the 1830s.

To be fair, they didn’t steal ALL THE LAND. They didn’t remove ALL THE NATIVES.

The Favres kept their land

Brett grew up there

After siding with the WHITE Confederacy during the Civil War, the Choctaw were SUPPOSED TO share their reparations with the Black people they enslaved

They embraced the whites & purged the Choctaw Freedmen from the rolls

To this day, the Favres brag about their native heritage but not about how he grew up on stolen land

He never mentions that his ancestors was LITERALLY the first Diversity Equity and Inclusion officer

Thats too woke

He won’t mention that he played in a white school district where BOTH his parents taught in the white town in the white county after his ancestors bamboozled Black people out of their reparations.

He won’t mention that his family was NOT patriotic.

That’s CRT
16
He won’t say that received a free education because his white daddy and his white HS coach convinced his white college coaches to let him film the last roster spot.

That’s literally affirmative action

While the Star Spangled Banner might be about … 🤷🏾‍♂️whatever white people think that song is about…

To some, it is a the theme song for thieves

The 3rd verse rejoices over god-endorsed land theft, history & heritage. The 4th verse is literally a shout-out to slavery

But here’s the thing:

I don’t HATE the national anthem

No one thinks Brett’s parents didn’t work. They’re not just sitting back and enjoying the fruits of Simon’s labor. It would be CRAZY to say that Brett Favre was not a great QB

Here’s what happened:
19
His family USED the opportunities they were given. Simon probably worked HARD to learned multiple languages. His children and grandchildren used their whiteness to assimilate. Brett used his god-given talent & hard work to become a Hall of Fame QB

THAT IS HOW DEI works.

Here’s the thing that puzzles me:

If y’all TRULY like a song about the land of the free and the home of the brave…

Why aren’t yall brave enough to tell the true story of how yall got so much land, freedom and all those homes?
