Okay, I didn't go to the bottom of the Pacific to find these.

But it took me years to find exercises like these that:

A- Got people moving well
B- Helped reduce low back pain

Credit to @bobbystroupe for introducing me.

Let's dive in (pun fully intended):

(1/3) Exercise #1: Lumbar Series A

In Series A, you are working extending your low back as you reach high to the sky.

I like this one 10x better than your normal press ups you get in rehab.

For bonus, feel free to work on flexing all the way to the ground as you step back.

(2/3) Exercise #2: Lumbar Series B

In Series B, you are going to feel the best stretch of your life as you step one way and reach high and away from that foot.

Nothing in the world compares to how good this stretch feels before a round of golf or a Monday morning workout.

Remember to step in front, otherwise you will end up face down on the ground from twisting yourself up.

Now I know you are going to predict the third one is called Lumbar Series C (and you are correct) because I didn't know what else to call them.

If you have any great ideas, shoot me a DM @tombroback and I'll consider new names.

On to Exercise #3....

(3/3) Exercise #3: Lumbar Series C

If you want to open up your hips better than a can opener pops open a can of baked beans, starting doing this one in your warmup.

You will get a nice pull in your low back and hips to undo all those hours of sitting and watching Netflix.

Throwing your arms gets you into more of an athletic mindset as well.

I usually have people start doing 5 reps per side of each, 2-3 times per day.

The better you feel, the more you can push how far you stretch in each position.

Now before you subtweet me, I know a few things about back pain:

1. It's tricky
2. There are many factors that contribute to it
3. There are more than 3 exercises that can help with it

All that being said, these few things might be the difference between you enjoying your weekend pain free versus being miserable on the couch

And yes, if you are looking for help with your low back pain, my DMs are open.

You can also throw me a follow @tombroback to learn more about back pain and rehab.

No need to go to the bottom of the Pacific.
