🔹Anne Frank🔹
🔹Can Ballpoint Pens Time Travel?🔹

(For educational purposes only)
Annelies Marie "Anne" Frank (German: Dutch: 12 June 1929 – c. February or March 1945)was a German-born Jewish girl who kept a diary documenting her life in hiding amid Nazi persecution during the German occupation of the Netherlands. A celebrated diarist, Frank allegedly described everyday life from her family's hiding place in an Amsterdam attic. She gained fame posthumously and became one of the most-discussed Jewish victims of the Holocaust with the 1947 publication of The Diary of a Young Girl which documents her life in hiding from 1942 to 1944. It is one of the world's best-known books and has been the basis for several plays and films…..However…..

….There is some controversy as to the diary authenticity… which would be most evil as millions of Germans were killed after
WWII because of stories like this one.

In 1980, these notes were discovered by the German Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA) during an investigation of the paper and ink used in the diary. In its report about it, the BKA gave the impression that "ballpoint corrections were made" in the diary itself.

The Diary of a Young Girl, has sold more than 4,000,000 copies to date.

Parts of the text, although attributed to Anne Frank, show a distinctly different handwriting. Also, parts of the text were originally written with ink from a ballpoint pen, and those pens first came into popular use in 1951. (Anne Frank died in 1945). There has long been a number of tell-tale clues that The Diary of Anne Frank isn’t what it purports to be, but rather is largely fictional and written by someone other than Anne Frank.

The Wikipedia entry on the matter relates “In 2015 the Anne Frank Foundation made an announcement, as reported in the New York Times, that the diary was co-authored by Otto Frank.

“The true author of the diary was a man, Meyer Levin. He demanded payment for his work in a court action against Anne’s father, Otto Frank. Meyer Levin was awarded $50,000 and the matter was resolved quietly.”

“Otto Frank was sued
by a New York scriptwriter,
Meyer Levin, who claimed that
Frank had taken large portions of
a script he. Levin, had written and
had not paid Levin for his work.
The court ordered Frank to pay
Levin S50.000. One can easily
understand why some observers
began to wonder how much, if
any, of the content of the various
Anne Frank books, films, and
plays in circulation was actually
written by Anne Frank.”

According to Yves Kugelmann, a member of the board of the foundation, their expert advice was that Otto had created a new work by editing, merging, and trimming entries from the diary and notebooks and reshaping them into a ‘kind of collage,’ which had created a new copyright. Agnès Tricoire, a lawyer specializing in intellectual property rights, responded by warning the foundation to ‘think very carefully about the consequences.’ She added ‘If you follow their arguments, it means that they have lied for years about the fact that it was only written by Anne Frank’”

In the 1970s, a German citizen named Ernst Roemer charged that the diary was a hoax and actually written by Otto Frank for profit. Because it is a serious crime under German law to cast doubt on “holocaust” claims, the court initially ruled for Frank. Roemer appealed the ruling 3 times offering evidence of forensic experts in his defense. In 1980, these experts analyzed the original diary manuscript. Using microscopic and ultra-violet illumination, they determined that large portions of the “diary” were written with a ball point pen. They were not manufactured until 1951.

Stunned by this revelation, Frank then claimed that he had “merely edited and clarified passages here and there.” However, hand writing expert Minna Bekker of Hamburg testified that all three bound volumes of 338 pages were in the identical handwriting of the same person!

“An 82-year-old in Hamburg backed away from a legal showdown Monday over his claim that the Diary of Anne Frank was a falsification.
Ernst Roemer, who publicly challenged the authenticity of the diary, the personal account of a Dutch-Jewish teen-ager who died in the Holocaust, decided not to appeal a fine imposed on him 10 years ago by a Hamburg lower court, his lawyer said.
The fine was the outcome of a lawsuit brought against Roemer, who failed to prove his contention. His appeal had gone through several stages and was about to be heard in Hamburg Monday.
Two Dutch witnesses were invited by the court to give testimony. Faced with refutations by Miep Gies, one of the neighbors who helped hide the Frank family, and Gerard Van Der Stroom of the Netherlands State Institute for War Documentation, Roemer suddenly dropped his appeal.

His lawyer claimed he did so not because he changed his mind, but because of his advanced age.”

RIP Anne Frank
