The reason why America can't reindustrialize is due to the fact that American workers cost the most to employ out of anyone in the entire world-- due to the average rent burden of the American, & the amount of money it costs to, for instance, insure an American, house an American, feed an American-- & every American comes with a Car too, that's included in the sticker price of an American worker. Once you got 'em though, you can work them to the bone, & keep them living paycheck to paycheck. Lots of burnout & turnover that way. But they'll also have tons of legal recourse & means of suing you etc etc-- it's an antagonistic relationship with lots of middle managers trying to tax their own superfluous existence into reality. Ask any "employer" from a small business owner to a Chinese factory owner (go ahead, watch "American Factory" a documentary in which a Chinese company tries to reopen a manufacturing plant in Ohio & marvels at how impossible it is to maintain a profitable manufacturing plant in America). This is just a manifestation of Welfare State Corporatism-- this is the system working-- it was created to deindustrialize, not to industrialize.

Why do you think there's such a demand for illegal workers? You get to bypass all regulations that increase the cost of employing people. We have a retarded system where instead of the State simply providing a means of existence to workers, such that they can be employed & survive easily & are therefore cheaper to employ due to employment not having to carry the cost of living of the workers-- instead of that, which is, Socialism or Communism-- instead of that we say "Hey Company X, you have to provide Health Insurance through Company Y, & a 401k managed by Company Z, but you're free to negotiate all that, so you'll need to also employ Company A as legal council, & Company B for compliance, & on & on & on it goes-- then consider the taxes... The bloat of the system is so immense that to simplify it through consolidation would render the majority of the workforce as it exists currently superfluous. Imagine if the entire "Health Insurance Industry" was deleted tomorrow & everyone got Health Insurance through the State. Do you know "what that would do to the economy"? Our Friends in the Rentier-Finance industries are not going to let you take their jobs my friend.

Imagine the mafia boss who says "Cost of doing business" as he collects protection money. That's how everything in America functions. Kickbacks. Patronage loops. "Lobbying." Through coercion masquerading as "rational free market decisions."

What most societies would call "Corruption" we call "The Cost of Doing Business."

& don't get me started on how our Prison Population (largest in human history) feeds this system-- because Prisoners are some of the last profitable industrial laborers in America-- because they can be employed as cheaply as illegal workers. currentaffairs.org/news/2017/06/t…
