A closer look at Norway's support to Ukraine reveals a troubling trend. Despite Norway's massive financial strength, our contributions lag behind nations like Sweden and Denmark.

💰 Norway has reaped massive financial benefits from the war in Ukraine, with increased gas prices (and sales) leading to over 1500 billion NOK ($143 billion) in additional revenue for ´22 and ´23 alone.
Yet, our support to Ukraine is far less than what our financial strength allows.

🇸🇪 Sweden has pledged 135 billion NOK ($12.9 billion) in support to Ukraine from 2022-2028. This includes a recent announcement of 75 billion SEK ($7.1 billion) in military aid for 2024-2026. Norway's total support? About 86 billion NOK ($8.2 billion) for the same period.

🌍 As a nation that prides itself on humanitarian values and international solidarity, Norway's current level of support to Ukraine is insufficient. Norway must align our actions with our principles.

🤝 While other nations are taking loans and making economic sacrifices to support Ukraine, Norway has the financial capacity to do much more without jeopardizing our economy. It's time to step up and not bank the money that should have gone to Ukraine.

🇳🇴 Norway has limited available military material to contribute, but if there is a bill to be paid for anything Ukraine needs, Norway should be first in line to take it and participate.

📣 It’s crucial for Norwegian politicians to recognize the urgency and increase our support for Ukraine. Ukraine is fighting for Norway’s security too.
Our contributions should match our capabilities and moral responsibility.
