🧵#bkdk #ktdk #bakudeku, aged-up dads!bkdk, quirked!Izuku, family...

-
It started with a green-eyed rabbit.
According to the police report, the quirk only lasted about six hours, so his husband, Katsuki, decided to have a little fun.
Izuku gave him a withering look, or the best he could manage as a cute little bunny, making Katsuki snicker.
"PAPAAAA!!!" squealed Amisa, their seven-year-old daughter, her spiky hair adorned with a princess crown and various hair clips, who ran to hug his legs.
"Amisa-chan, slow down!"
Katsuki chuckled as their sitter came running after Amisa, and skidded to a halt as she spotted Katsuki.
"Oi, Hana, how much do I owe you?" Katsuki asked, but the girl, Kaminari Hana, quickly waved him off.
"No trouble at all, Amisa's awesome to sit for"Hana replied with a grin.
This was so embarrassing!
Katsuki gave Hana a wink and a nod, but raised a finger to his lips, making Hana hide her smile behind her hand.
Katsuki ruffled her hair. "Drop the '-san,' kid, I've known ya since you were in diapers."
Hana huffed and rearranged her hair, rolling her eyes.
Amisa waved. "Bye!!!"
Hana waved with a slight smile as she walked down the front walk.
"What???" she shouted back from the sidewalk.
"Tell Kaisei to quit picking fights, would ya?!" he said, referring to his eldest son, in Class 2-A with Hana.
Hana laughed aloud. "Good luck with getting him to do THAT!"
Katsuki sighed, and he felt a puff of air hit the inside of his elbow as Izuku sighed as well.
Hana left, and Amisa asked, "Papa...is that a bunny?"
Katsuki grinned. "Yep, sure is," he replied, scratching Izuku behind the ears.
Izuku felt his foot thump against his will. But that...felt.../amazing/.
"Can you be gentle?" Katsuki asked, raising an eyebrow.
Amisa huffed, so similar to Izuku Katsuki almost lost it right there. "Papa. I am /seven/. Not four!"
Amisa stomped her foot. "PAPA."
"Oh, alright." Katsuki pretended to relent, gently handing Izuku over to his youngest.
"Be careful with him," Katsuki warned, though his crimson gaze was soft.
"I promise, Papa." Amisa replied, stroking Izuku behind his ears, and there went his foot again, /thump thump thump/.
Amisa sank back down into the beanbag where she'd been before, with Izuku, and set him down on her chest.
Immediately, Izuku flopped on his side, nuzzling against her cheek.
Amisa giggled. "That tickles!!"
"Don't even start, old man," Hisato shot back.
/Not again.../
Katsuki poked his head out. "Don't sass me, kid-" he started, his eyes narrowed.
"Shitty day?" he asked, making Izuku thump his foot, making Amisa giggle.
/No cursing in the house!/ Izuku scolded mentally.
Izuku noted Katsuki's hands starting to tremble, his knuckles white.
"Who. Did. It. I swear to god I'll blast them to Mars," Katsuki hissed.
"I'll blast them into the SUN!" Amisa declared, narrowing her own eyes.
But Hisato laughed, in spite of it all. "And what would the media say?"
"FUCK the media," Katsuki said, making Izuku thump his foot again.
"...Daddy?" she whispered.
Izuku booped his nose against hers, and smiled internally.
Despite being Katsuki's girl, she definitely had a bit of him, in there, too.

And then her gaze turned soft, and looked wise in that way only young children can be. "Go be with Hisa, daddy" she whispered, as Katsuki and Hisato finished speaking, and Katsuki returned to the kitchen.
Izuku's ears drooped. He related to his son more than he could ever know. Putting on a brave face, a smile, so those he loved wouldn't worry.
Slipping on the hardwood, but he had to catch Hisato, he had to-
"Amisa, when did we get a rabbit??"
Izuku flopped on his side and looked up with big green eyes.
/Clever girl,/ Izuku thought.
Hisato smirked. "He's mine now," he declared, scooping Izuku up.
Yes!
"I will," Hisato promised, walking upstairs.
Gray afternoon light dimly lit the stairwell. Quiet, until the clatter of raindrops being blown against glass began.
He set Izuku on his lap, and sighed when he saw strands of white all over his black hoodie.
/Thumpathumpathump/ went Izuku's leg, again.
"Scratch that, adorable," Hisato said, snickering.
(TBC! gotta finish some work and later I'll hopefully be able to finish this off)
After a while, Hisato reached up to the mark on his cheek and winced.
"I'm so fucking tired of this..." he muttered to himself.
And Izuku understood.
He understood that feeling better than anyone.
/Are those...?/
It was a diagram for powered flamethrower gloves, carefully thought out, with neat labels and handwriting.
There were even safety measures in mind...
"Move that, buddy, I need to do this," Hisato said, and kept flipping until he reached a clean page.
A similar design to the flamethrower gloves, but instead of fire...
"Freaking Shimoda, with his damn ice quirk... well what if I /made/ his quirk and used it better than him?! Huh?! What then??" Hisato said, a manic grin crossing+
He added a backpack with a big tank. But then he erased the big tank, shaking his head. "Too bulky... I need to do more with less..." he thought aloud.
He reached over absentmindedly with his free hand and stroked Izuku, who leaned into his son's hand.
He sprawled out, and Hisato smirked. "Like that?"
"Easy! Don't concentrate it, I need to SPRAY it so less gets over a larger area! It's the same effect, with less!"
He scratched out the nozzle on the gloves' palms and added smaller nozzles to the fingertips instead.
Izuku squinted his small eyes at that. What in the world was his son talking about?
But the next thing that left his second son's lips made Izuku's blood run cold.
/What?/
What in the world was Hisato talking about?
"With my designs, I don't need ANY quirk at all to be a hero." Hisato said, setting his jaw.
Izuku's ears drooped slightly. That was true.
"I'm almost the age dad was when he got his quirk... and I gotta prove myself before then" Hisato muttered. "That I can keep MYSELF safe."
Izuku remembered the marks on Hisato's face. Almost every day, this one by his eye the latest in a long series.
The silence said what Hisato didn't want to.
Izuku looked down at his right paw. For once, his fingers didn't ache, despite the rain pouring outside.
The pressure, too... Izuku remembered stepping into his first Sports Festival, told to show the world that he was there. Of being the one his friends looked to.
The title, that he still carried.
One for All had so many strings attached, so many more than Izuku could ever have realized when he told All Might yes, all those years ago.
But not for a second had it crossed his mind to pass this power on to his son.
But in that moment, he knew he wouldn't.
"Never," was the first word out of Izuku's mouth, trying to keep his voice level, but failing as tears leaked out of his green eyes.
"This power will die with me," Izuku swore.
And then he leaned down, and looked his son in the eyes, crimson meeting green as he placed his hands on Hisato's shoulders.
It was like looking in a mirror.
"You CAN become a hero, Hisato. With or without a quirk. I haven't doubted you for a second, do you hear me?" Tears welled over, rolling down his cheeks.
But then Hisato wrapped his arms around his dad tightly, pressing his face against his shoulder. "Dad, I..."
A sniffle.
"I love you, dad..."
/Don't cry, don't bawl, don't sob, don't you dare/ Izuku scolded himself. "I love you more than you will ever know," he replied.
"...so you were a rabbit. How...?"
Izuku chuckled softly, wiping his eyes. "That's a long story..."
