HOW TO DEGEN ?
Episode 3

My redflags list 🚩

Dozens of projects are launched every day, we have the choice, so avoiding projects with redflags already gives us a big edge.

Don't hesitate to give a RT and a follow to support me

What are the redflags for presales?

- Team that puts pressure on to invest. The best presales fill all by themselves and quickly

- Hardcaps out of all proportion. For example a 50 eth presale for a basic memecoin. Even if it's not a scam, the MC will be too high so bad r/r
3
- Uncapped presales.
This is often not a good sign, unless the project is really backed by very serious people.

These are the doubts I expressed on @riskonblast
And the project just scam $1M
By the way, bravo to @ManifestorDAO for fading
@AgentPrinceps had guessed the scamπŸ•΅οΈ

- Allocations that are disproportionate to size, for example 1 eth max/wallet for a 10 ETH presale

More generally all presales with inconsistent tokenomics which are not mathematically correct

Always calculate the MC, launch price, presale %, presale price to see if they match

- Presales where promises are overblown.
If it looks too good and you're the only one who knows about it, it's probably a scam.

- When no one you trust can certify that the team is safe, avoid it. Any serious project will demonstrate its legitimacy.

What are the redflags on launches?

- "Soon" devs. "website soon", "lock soon" generally only means : rug soon

- Projects that don't take their time

- Poor-quality logos and websites. If a dev spends time, it's less likely to be for a fast rug, even if there are bad examples
7
- Twitter accounts with many followers but few interaction. They are often botted or recycled.

To check whether they've been recycled, there's the Manifestor bot or @alphagate_io

A legit project has no interest in having bots

More specifically on new pairs :

- Tokens without max wallet/max buy, with fake volume (many same amount buy/sell)

- Weird initial liquidity figures, like 0.799 ETH.
Usually a serious project has a defined amount, such as 1 ETH, 2 or 10 eth

- Dev who buys his own token :

9
- "To ze moon" communication from the team

Emoji like πŸš€, the team that talks about token price, "next x100".

These are all bearish signs. A serious team will focus on the product, not the price.

Here we are, those are my redflags, which allow me to focus on more serious projects. I must have forgotten some, so don't hesitate to give me yours.

Thanks for reading.

A small follow, RT or like is always appreciated. Have a nice evening πŸ™
