An end-of-year job that every niche site owner should be doing......

For example, let's say your best post is 'The Best Caribbean Islands To Visit With Kids'...
Then you'll put these on your list...
- The Best Hawaiian Islands To Visit With Kids
- The Best Greek Islands To Visit With Kids
And...
- The Best Caribbean Islands To Visit With Teens
- The Best Caribbean Islands For Honeymooners
- The Best Caribbean Islands For Solos
Now for each post you have a big list of similar posts to work through.
But which to work on first?
Sure, you could check the search volumes.
But I prefer to use intuition...
Which will attract a wealthy US-based audience?
Which sound clickable from Facebook or email as well as search?
Which can I do the best job of writing?
Use similar headings, a similar number of photos, build similar (internal and external) links.
But should you copy the content and just change 10% of the words?
(This is known as 'brand swapping'.)
Let's say you're writing about two sister restaurants that are virtually identical.
If there's no search competition at all, it can be a quick win for now - and you can always improve the article later on.
