American Socialists in the 20th century make an explicit alliance with the Rockefeller/Ford/Carnegie foundation, seeking to “monopolize the economy” with the same tactics. That’s what makes our system so odd— it’s a merger of the Finance-Intellectual class of “service”

American Socialist “Intellectuals” were generally not of the Proletarian class, & found themselves being aligned with the Rockefellers— both seeking to “rationalize” the economy through monopolization— as the century goes on, “Socialism” becomes the purview of Finance Capital
3
“The Donor Class” — is the Rentier class, the class of finance capital, & the “Donor Class” / “Patron Class” aka Creditors & “Funders” choose which “intellectuals” will receive patronage— through myriad foundations & organs of “civic society”— NGOs

We don’t have a State with more power than the NGOs— it’s rather the opposite— the NGOs & “organs of civic society” by the donor class control the State. In China, the State controls what NGOs can do, & force them to submit to the CCP’s priorities— to the chagrin of NGOs.

7
Essentially— they allow NGOs to work “under the aegis of the CCP” — they are made into subordinate partners of the State, but they are not given “rights” the way they are in Western/Liberal jurisprudence which recognizes NGOs & Corporations as “individuals” endowed with right

When you read the term “civil society” think of a billionaire describing their class milieu— “China is restricting the actions of Civil Society”— ie: China is restricting the actions of Global Finance, the Global Aristocracy of “Philanthropists”
9
This is from a World Bank publication in 1992 — what is “civil society”?
10
That’s what “Globalism” means— removing the sovereignty of states to enable an environment for nonstate actors & “civil society” to govern in their stead
