Entertainment thread by @NebsGoodTakes

1

The Arrowverse is ending soon so here's a thread of some tidbits, BTS issues, and weird lore I remember about it from the past 10 years

Not in any particular order 🧵

2

Some of Arrow's first promo images look very different from the gritty tone the show ended up with

3

Stephen Amell wasn't happy when WB announced Ezra Miller's casting as The Flash one week after the show's pilot episode

4

At San Diego Comic-Con (2014), a DC TV panel featured the full casts of Arrow, The Flash, Gotham, and Constantine together for the first and only time

                            5

When Barry learns how to do his first supersonic punch in episode 6, they use a shot of his fist going the wrong way

It's bugged me for 9 years

                        0:13

6

The artist Bosslogic got popular largely from his frequent fan posters during the early Flash and Arrow seasons, sorry if these unearth any memories for you

7

Arrow season 2 featured a deleted scene with Harley Quinn voiced by Tara Strong, where she gives Diggle a racist nickname and is left in an ARGUS prison cell

WB stepped in to stop them from using Suicide Squad characters altogether,

8

Killer Frost initially showed up as an easter egg during The Flash's season 1 finale, and these are the only existing images of her specific look from that episode to my knowledge

                            9

The first trailer for Legends of Tomorrow used test footage which featured Stephen Amell and Grant Gustin, among many other scenes that were never made to be used in the actual show

                        1:53

10

An unfortunate editing mistake in Arrow S3E17

The Atom ruthlessly electrocutes Arsenal against a fence, but Oliver is able to talk him down and then leaves the area as it cuts to commercial

Roy doesn't show up again, implying he abandoned his sidekick's unconscious fried body

11

Shantel VanSanten revealed that Patty Spivot was written out of The Flash early in season 2 because Andrew Kreisberg(showrunner) was upset with her for booking a role in another TV show

He was later fired after nearly 20 people accused him of sexual harassment

                            12

During a PaleyFest 2017 Arrowverse panel hosted by Kevin Smith, Andrew Kreisberg(sexual predator) revealed that the main villain of The Flash season 4 wouldn't be a speedster for once

The audience erupted in cheers, leaving Kreisberg visibly confused

                        0:46

13

Firestorm was killed off in the first episode of The Flash season 2 because they wanted him as a regular on Legends of Tomorrow, but Robbie Amell was already booked for The X-Files

A new version of Vixen was created for similar reasons, as Megalyn Echikunwoke was too busy

14

Brandon Routh was originally cast as Ted Kord/Blue Beetle in Arrow season 3, but was changed to Ray Palmer/The Atom as WB had other plans for the character and forbid it

His costume was inspired by Iron Man, and cost "more than your average American home" to make

15

Colton Haynes chose to leave Arrow after 2 seasons in 2015 to prioritize his mental and physical health

He returned to the role of Roy Harper as a series regular again for season 7, but he left the show for the second time due to depression and being unable to stand a cast mate

16

After Arrow's very poorly received episode focused on gun control, Marc Guggenheim revealed they planned on making a Black Lives Matter episode

When asked if Arrow had any black writers on the team, Guggenheim replied "we'll be bringing someone in"

The episode was never made

17

Violett Beane left The Flash after playing Jesse Quick for 2 seasons due to landing a lead role in Greg Berlanti's new CBS show, God Friended Me

Unfortunately, God Friended Me was cancelled after 2 seasons and Jesse Quick died painfully offscreen from an antimatter wave

18

The CW was not allowed to use or reference Wonder Woman in any way for the duration of the Arrowverse

However, they managed to get approval for a quick shot and name drop of Themyscira during a single Legends of Tomorrow episode, using footage of the Greek island Zakynthos

19

After a bad 3rd season and worse 4th season of Arrow, the moderators of the show's subreddit gave up and changed it to a Daredevil subreddit as an act of protest

Hope was restored after a great 5th season, until season 6 was bad again so they changed it to a Punisher subreddit

20

The character of Felicity Smoak was given a paraplegic storyline as a nod to Barbara Gordon/Oracle, referencing her twice

To follow suit with the modern comics, it was handled poorly and she was given a spinal microchip that allowed her to walk again

21

Oscar-nominated star Austin Butler was in four episodes of Arrow's third season

He played a club DJ named Chase who was also secretly a League of Assassins member, who fails to kill Thea and then drinks a vial of cyanide, dying instantly

22

The cast of DC's Titans allegedly declined to show up in the Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover because they were embarrassingly little money to film cameos

So instead the CW was given footage of the original unaired Titans season 1 finale, which was given a red filter

23

Terry Beatty, co-creator of the character Wild Dog, was pissed when Arrow decided to give him a new modernized costume

They later went back to the original suit

24

The Flash had to change the suit's cowl early in the first season, as the way it was glued to Grant Gustin's face gave him migraines while filming

This is why it looks slightly different after episode 9, and probably also a reason why they struggled with designing it in season 5

25

A crossover between Batwoman and Superman & Lois was cancelled due to the pandemic

Since then, Superman & Lois has been retconned to not take place in the Arrowverse at all

26

Despite adapting all of the classic Rogues members, with some of them even being adapted twice, the full team of Flash villains was never properly formed in 9 seasons

27

The Atom used his suit to grow gigantic for the first time in Legends of Tomorrow episode 13, which aired on April 28th 2016

This was, for some reason, timed to be a week before Ant-Man did the same thing in Captain America: Civil War, which released on May 6th 2016

28

In Legends of Tomorrow season 3 episode 15, Bodhi Sabongui plays a younger version of Behrad, who is a character based on Amon Tomaz/Osiris from the comics

In Black Adam, the same actor plays yet another adaptation of Amon Tomaz

Probably because his dad plays Captain Singh

29

The pilot episodes of The Flash and Supergirl both leaked online months in advance

It's assumed that because the leak generated a lot of hype for The Flash, CBS/WB "leaked" the Supergirl pilot on purpose in hopes that it would have the same effect (which it did)

30

Dominic Purcell announced his exit as Heatwave from Legends of Tomorrow through drunk edited Instagram posts, saying something about the character being emasculated over time and being screwed over by WB

Honestly it's still very confusing and unclear

31

After playing Sara Lance in tons of episodes from different Arrowverse shows over the years, Caity Lotz got the job of directing 4 episodes

Citing director Jordan Peele and actress Cassandra Peterson as her biggest inspirations, search "Caity Lotz Jordan Peterson" to learn more

32

Stephen Amell is a massive professional wrestling fan and attended an episode of WWE Raw, where he got in a scripted altercation with wrestler Cody Rhodes A.K.A. Stardust

Cody Rhodes later joined Arrow as the character Derek Sampson, a Stardust drug dealer

33

Accelerated Man first appeared in the third season of The Flash, a mysterious speedster with purple lightning played by Sean Poague

He had another short cameo in season 4, and then never appeared ever again

34

Through several unfortunate writing decisions, 8 named characters are listed as having held the mantle of Canary/Black Canary throughout the Arrowverse

This does not include the Canaries, a vigilante network established to exist in Arrow's bleak future timeline

35

Linda Park, Wally West's wife in the comics, is introduced as a reporter covering the particle accelerator explosion

She is then recast and introduced again as Barry Allen's new love interest, for some reason, and is revealed to be an adaptation of Doctor Light, for some reason

36

Magenta, Wally West's girlfriend in the comics, appears in one episode of The Flash season 3

She does not interact with Wally a single time despite them both being in the same episode, for some reason

37

Kimiyo Hoshi A.K.A. Doctor Light is a Justice League member in the comics, having been introduced during the Crisis on Infinite Earths storyline to stop the Anti-Monitor

So of course, she is introduced in The Flash season 6, right after Crisis, as an assassin with a light gun

38

In the canon tie-in comic for the Arrowverse's adaptation of Crisis on Infinite Earths:

-Wally West is killed

-Felicity meets the Phantom Stranger and asks him to take her to Oa from Green Lantern (2011), where she immediately argues with the Guardians of the Universe

39

Robert DuBois A.K.A. Bloodsport appears as a terrorist in the first episode of Supergirl's third season, where he's hired by Morgan Edge to bomb National City using a submarine, fails, and is arrested

James Gunn's adaptation happened much later so this is only funny in hindsight

40

After many years of intense fan demand, Legends of Tomorrow finally introduced Booster Gold at the end of season 7, played by Donald Faison

He was added with the intention of drawing in more viewers to save the show from cancellation

It did not work

41

Weird Al Yankovic has two different Arrowverse wiki pages

42

Caitlin Snow is shown as an extremely intelligent character, having a PhD and two doctorates, being a trained scientist, neurosurgeon, bio-engineer, and was crucial in creating the particle accelerator

In the season 1 finale of The Flash, she asks what a singularity is

43

Jessica Parker Kennedy was cast as Nora West-Allen, Iris and Barry's daughter from the future, however she's actually older than both Grant Gustin and Candice Patton

She's also a decade older than Jordan Fisher, who plays her brother

She's 38

44

Despite being a classic Flash villain, the original Captain Boomerang spent more time fighting Green Arrow in this universe

His last appearance was in the Arrow season 5 finale, where he cornered Malcolm Merlyn who had stepped on a landmine, they both exploded

45

Arrow's 7th season adapted The Silencer as an antagonist, played by Miranda Edwards

This happened only 7 months after her first appearance in the comics, which I'm pretty sure is a record

46

The Arrowverse is now such an absurd time commitment to get into from scratch that you literally just had to be there

47

Stephen Amell's neighbor took a shit on his roof

48

The character of Allegra Garcia was introduced in The Flash season 6 as a new addition to the show's cast of regulars

This is because the new showrunner, Eric Wallace, created her in the comics 13 years ago

She's Mexican in the show, despite keeping her name Brazilian

49

Batwoman's costume was changed in season 1 because of Ruby Rose's neck injury that she sustained on set, which required emergency surgery

She was forced to return to set 10 days later, and later left the show entirely, citing a toxic work environment

50

David Harewood played the character of Martian Manhunter throughout Supergirl's entire run

However, he also played Cyborg Superman, which he wasn't a fan of

51

Patrick Sabongui plays Captain David Singh, a recurring character through the show's 8 seasons (not in 9 yet)

But before that he was also in Arrow season 1, where he played one of Count Vertigo's drug dealers who was given a lethal dose by the villain and shot himself

52

Helena Bertinelli A.K.A. The Huntress was introduced in Arrow season 1, played by Jessica De Gouw

Last appearing in season 2, she was planned to return in season 3, 4, and 8, but was unable to ever do it because of various story and scheduling conflicts

53

Out of The Flash's 8 season finale episodes, Eobard Thawne has been the main villain in half of them (1, 5, 7, and 8)

He was also the main antagonist in Legends of Tomorrow's season 2 finale, and has been spotted in set photos of The Flash's currently filming series finale

54

Savitar, the main villain of The Flash season 3, was entirely CGI up until the 15th episode

55

Voice actors who have played characters in The Flash, no I'm not joking:

-Morena Baccarin as Gideon
-David Sobolov as Gorilla Grodd
-Tony Todd as Zoom
-David Hayter as King Shark
-Tobin Bell as Savitar
-Keith David as Solovar
-Phil LaMarr as Ragdoll
-BD Wong as Godspeed

56

Carl Lumbly, who played Martian Manhunter in the DC Animated Universe, played Martian Manhunter's father M'yrnn J'onzz in Supergirl

Additionally, Phil LaMarr played Martian Manhunter's brother, Malefic J'onzz

57

An assassin in Arrow season 1 named Mr. Blank was originally supposed to be Onomatopoeia, a Green Arrow villain created by Kevin Smith

However, Andrew Kreisberg(unemployed) thought he wouldn't translate well on screen

He'll now appear in the 3rd season of Superman & Lois(😭???)

58

A series of Arrowverse novels written by Barry Lyga and Jo Whittemore follow a different timeline where Barry never caused Flashpoint, dubbed the "Barryverse"

This version of Barry never has to fight Savitar, and only learns about him through investigating the show's timeline

59

Four Arrowverse crossover promo shorts were made, titled:

-Superhero Fight Club (2015)
-Guitar Hero Challenge (2015)
-Superhero Fight Club 2.0 (2016)
-Suit Up (2018)

60

After years of build-up, the Arrowverse was finally able to establish their own Justice League roster at the end of Crisis on Infinite Earths

The roster lasted a mere 4 months until Ruby Rose left Batwoman, with several shows ending or being cancelled afterwards as well

61

In the first episode of The Flash season 2, Barry and his team face off against an evil version of Atom Smasher

He is defeated when Team Flash traps him in a chamber and floods it with extreme amounts of radiation, brutally murdering him

This is never brought up again

62

Arrow season 5 introduced Ragman, a powerful character from the comics who joins Oliver's new team of vigilantes

The writers quickly realized he was actually TOO powerful, so they had him use his suit to absorb a nuke and wrote him out 12 episodes in

63

Supergirl's first season features the villain Indigo, played by the actress who was Supergirl in Smallville, Laura Vandervoort

Martian Manhunter rips her in half

64

Blake Neely is currently credited for composing 546 Arrowverse episodes, on top of other CW shows such as Riverdale and All American

I hope he's alright

65

Arrowverse skins have made it into several video games:

-DC Universe Online
-Injustice: Gods Among Us
-Injustice: Gods Among Us [Mobile]
-Injustice 2 (Mobile)
-Fortnite

66

Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham and Lego DC Super-Villains both have Arrowverse DLC packs, with several actors reprising their roles in the games

67

Black Lightning season 3's midseason finale serves as a tie-in to the Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover event, taking place before part 3

It has red skies, China Anne McClain playing 3 versions of herself at the same time, and ends with the remaining cast being erased

68

In the finale of Legends of Tomorrow season 2, you can see the Watchtower from Smallville on the left

69

Last one and not even trivia at all but whoever wrote Pied Piper's page on the Arrowverse wiki is funny as fuck

70

So sorry for lying but I just found out about this

During his 2015 presidential campaign, Jeb Bush was asked about his favorite superhero

"I saw that Supergirl is on TV. I saw it when I was working out this morning, there was an ad promoting Supergirl. She looked pretty hot."

71

The Flash costume smells like shit

72

While auditioning for the role of Deathstroke, Manu Bennett accidentally choked the casting assistant until he was unconscious

He got the part

73

At San Diego Comic-Con 2017, Keiynan Lonsdale (who's Australian) dressed as "Where's Wally", because he wasn't allowed to say anything about Wally West in the upcoming Flash season

Apparently nobody got the joke, because in the USA and Canada it's called Where's Waldo

74

Batwoman actually had some really good fight scenes by Arrowverse standards

This counts as trivia because most of you are annoying and decided it was bad without watching it, so nobody knows this

75

In the draft pilot script for The Flash, Hartley Rathaway/Pied Piper was still a S.T.A.R. Labs team member and actually made Barry's suit, but this was changed and his overall role was inherited by Cisco Ramon/Vibe

Andy Mientus also auditioned for the role of Barry Allen

76

In the comics, Batman creates an advanced satellite named Brother Eye that goes rogue and uses the OMAC virus to turn people into violent cyborgs

In the Arrowverse, Brother Eye is adapted as a cyber terrorist group led by Felicity Smoak's ex-boyfriend, she also made the virus

77

In the final season of Arrow, Oliver Queen dies 8 episodes in, leaving the series finale largely without its main character

Except for the final scene, where Felicity willingly goes to an afterlife where Oliver has been waiting, the last shot implies they're alone for eternity

78

In the time between Arrow season 5 and 6, a group of Oliver and Felicity shippers created a GoFundMe page called "The Olicity Bench Project"

For $3,000 the goal was to make a bench in a Vancouver park, dedicated to the ship using a bronze plaque inscription

It raised $5,000

79

In the 43 combined seasons of the Arrowverse, they've used the "established character is shockingly revealed to be an important hero or villain" twist at least 20 times

That's just what I counted, I could be wrong, I will not investigate further

80

This is my own speculation

The 100, an unrelated post-apocalyptic CW show, had an episode in its second season where a CGI gorilla suddenly shows up and is never seen again

I'm almost positive this was to help test out the CGI for Gorilla Grodd in The Flash, who appeared later

81

Echo Kellum, who played Mr. Terrific for 4 seasons of Arrow, made an AMA post 2 years ago explaining how he and other cast members were frequent lurkers of the subreddit

He said he loved most of the critiques and insane shitposting, along with other insights into the show

82

Legends of Tomorrow was originally planned as an anthology series with a rotating cast every season, however the reception to season 1 had them scrap this idea

Additionally, the teased Thanagarian invasion storyline was dropped as Hawkman and Hawkgirl got written out entirely

83

Hideo Kojima is/was a massive fan of The Flash

84

Supergirl was originally planned to go on for 7 seasons, but the cast was tired so they took those plans and merged them with season 6

Two producers genuinely pitched a 7th season without Supergirl in it

85

When COVID-19 began severely disrupting television productions, Stephen Amell gave Greg Berlanti a call and offered to film a 9th season of Arrow if there was an actor availability emergency, which would bring Oliver Queen back from the dead

Because he's actually insane

86

For Black Lightning's final season a new purple suit was made for Thunder, she receives it in the 9th episode and is used on screen for literally just 2 minutes before the series ends

Probably for her future appearances on Painkiller, the spin-off that The CW didn't pick up

87

Due to the popularity of Arrow's original characters, Andrew Kreisberg(rotting) introduced John Diggle and Felicity Smoak to DC's New 52 line of Green Arrow comics

Diggle was well received and remained throughout the New 52 and Rebirth eras, Felicity lasted 6 issues

88

When asked if WB approached Liam Neeson about reprising the role of Ra's al Ghul in Arrow, he said he hadn't been but "would, in a heartbeat"

He was then offered the role but declined due to scheduling, so instead they found another white man to play the Arab/Chinese character

89

After Hartley Sawyer was fired from The Flash due to resurfaced offensive tweets, people wondered if the character of Elongated Man would be recast

Instead, Ralph's face is "severely burned", so he arrives wearing a helmet with a voice modulator and never shows up again

90

Arrow season 2 bafflingly features adaptations of the Church of Blood and Solomon Grundy at the same time

With Brother Blood and Cyrus Gold having been mentored by the religious leader "Roger Trigon", now working for Deathstroke to help build an army of super soldiers

91

Joanna de la Vega, Laurel's friend in Arrow season 1, is an adaptation of Black Lightning's niece Joanna Pierce

Created by Judd Winick to piss off Black Lightning creator Tony Isabella (allegedly), Green Arrow cheats on Black Canary with her and is then horrifically murdered

92

Tom Holland used to be an Arrow fan

93

In Legends of Tomorrow season 2 the Legion of Doom creates the alternate reality "Doomworld"

In this reality Felicity Smoak is a vigilante with her own superhero suit, and to be honest with you guys for a moment I may be losing it this far in but I like the suit, it's ok I think

94

In the recently released supposedly canon comic "Earth-Prime", the future Arrowverse Justice League roster includes both Atoms, Batwoman Beyond (still Ryan), Batwing, and Jax Jackson as the new Captain Cold among others

Oliver also returns at the end, whatever that means

95

WB asked Michael Rosenbaum to return for Crisis on Infinite Earths as Smallville's Lex Luthor but had no script ready and offered very little money, so he declined

96

Marc Guggenheim's original idea was that Green Arrow's death would be the inspiration for Bruce Wayne becoming Batman

This was scrapped for many reasons, one of them being Batwoman coming into the mix later

97

In 2012, Gail Simone, the award-winning comics writer known for her Birds of Prey run among other things, asked the team behind Arrow to not screw up Dinah Lance/Black Canary

Marc Guggenheim replied "We won't. We promise."

This aged poorly

98

The Arrowverse team tried very hard to get Green Lantern included in some way over the years, failing every time:

-Alan Scott in Legends of Tomorrow
-Ferris Airlines frequently mentioned
-Faceless Hal Jordan appearing
-Diggle actually being John Stewart all along, going nowhere

99

After Manu Bennett's guest appearance in Arrow season 3, he believed that the writers took Deathstroke in the wrong direction, due to him being such a powerful characters in the comics

Regardless, he was convinced to return as Slade Wilson for season 5 and 6

100

In Arrow's infamous 4th season, several episodes end with flashforwards showing a grave, revealing that a main character was going to die, with fans speculating on who it could be

As it turns out, the writers didn't know who was dying either, and later decided on Black Canary

101

The 2016 crossover Invasion! was advertised to be the first featuring all four Arrowverse shows at the time, with Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, and Legends of Tomorrow

However, Supergirl's episode was entirely unrelated until the ending, where Barry and Cisco ask Kara for help

102

Legends of Tomorrow season 3 introduced the character Zari Tomaz, an adaptation of Adrianna Tomaz/Isis from the comics

She appears in her classic suit once as a Halloween costume, and then gets a nice updated suit for Crisis on Earth-X, which she also only wears once, I guess

                            103

Caity Lotz(Jordan Peterson fan) did most of her own stunts as Sara Lance over the years, and used this oddly specific slow-motion spinning back kick at least 3 times

                        0:15

104

In Doomworld, the alternate reality created by the Legion of Doom, Reverse Flash is friends with the US president Donald Trump

Another Trump reference with Reverse Flash was cut from Crisis on Earth-X, a crossover where Eobard hated Barry so much he literally became a Nazi

105

In Arrowverse Canon, Barack Obama survived an assassination attempt from Gorilla Grodd while attending college

He also took partial responsibility for a group of Kahndaqi extremists led by the Arrowverse version of Black Adam, and tells Amanda Waller to send in the Suicide Squad

106

In Arrow Season 2.5, an official tie-in comic written by Marc Guggenheim & Keto Shimizu, Bronze Tiger is killed with his own claws by Arrowverse Black Adam while on a Suicide Squad mission

This is later retconned, as Michael Jai White returned as Bronze Tiger in Arrow season 7

107

Oliver's son Connor Hawke was not adapted well

Sandra Hawke is initially adapted as Samantha Clayton, a white woman who had a different child named William

He's then revealed as Diggle's son in the future, who chose the name Connor Hawke

But actually, he's Bronze Tiger's son

108

Constantine was retroactively added to the Arrowverse after its cancellation due to fan demand for Matt Ryan's portrayal of the character

He was an Arrow guest star, then a Legends of Tomorrow series regular, and has since played John Constantine in 5 different animated projects

109

Lucifer was retroactively added to the Arrowverse during Crisis on Infinite Earths, where it's confirmed the show takes place on Earth-666

The cameo also accidentally puts Watchmen into Arrowverse canon, as there's a billboard for the HBO show in the establishing shot

110

Arrowverse Batman killed The Joker and left Gotham in 2015 but never returned, with Batwoman investigating his disappearance

This storyline was dropped with Ruby Rose's departure, as a recasted Kate Kane is written out to investigate this offscreen and probably won't resolve it

111

To date, Batwoman is the only live-action show or movie that used comics accurate white eyes for the main Batsuit

112

In The Flash season 3, the concept art design for The Rival was adjusted because he looked too similar to the previous season's villain, Zoom

This resulted in one of the ugliest suits the Arrowverse ever produced, which is saying a lot

                            113

In Arrow season 2's 19th episode, Stephen Amell does this funny ass scream when Deathstroke is beating the shit out of him

                        0:15

114

In Arrow season 3's midseason finale, Oliver is impaled by Ra's al Ghul and kicked off a large mountain

Fans were so excited to see him get revived in the Lazarus Pit, the obvious conclusion to make

Instead, he actually survived the fall and just needed stiches and herbal tea

115

In Arrow season 1, Warren Christie plays Oliver's childhood friend who become a neurosurgeon

In Batwoman, Warren Christie plays Hush, the Batman villain who was Bruce Wayne's childhood friend that went on to become a neurosurgeon

I'm not making these up I dude I swear to god

116

In The Flash season 1, Mick Rory/Heatwave is introduced as a sadistic criminal obsessed with fire, believing his true self was revealed by the burns on his body

In Legends of Tomorrow season 6, he gives birth to 48 alien squids from his nose

117

Arrow season 5 had a special 100th episode to celebrate just how far the gritty drama had come over the years

Awkwardly, this had to be written during the crossover where aliens invade earth and kidnap the president, so the cast are placed in simulation pods to relive memories

                            118

In the 5th episode of The Flash season 5, Iris jumps off a building to unlock Barry's handcuffs and save him while freefalling

This isn't a complaint I actually love everything about it

                        0:18

119

In The Flash episode 15, Barry time travels while attempting to stop a tidal wave from hitting the city

This means that Barry accidentally abandoned the show's original timeline, so from their perspective The Flash just vanished and Central City got obliterated by a tsunami

120

In Arrow season 4, Oliver finally started going by the name Green Arrow

Unfortunately his new suit wasn't green enough, so in MANY scenes there's a filter tracked over him specifically to make his costume greener

121

For whatever reason, The Flash usually designated the 15th episode of a season as the "big episode" where they blew the CGI budget

122

Despite always being referred to as yellow, The Flash's lightning has been orange for the show's entire run, and we just kind of pretend it's not

Meanwhile Kid Flash, Jesse Quick, and Impulse have actually yellow lightning

123

Every color has been used for a speedster's natural lightning trails except for green

The only cases of green lightning being when the Speed Force got infected by the Spectre's energy (it was a whole thing) and then from the Still Force (I don't have time for this)

124

With some early Arrowverse costume designs, to avoid suits being full bright colors, they'd just paint the bottom halves as a black gradient

125

The Flash season 6 episode 8 features a scene where the villain magically gets away but Barry actually chases and catches them

This is highly unusual

126

The Flash season 3 finale features this shot

127

Lady Shiva was planned to appear in Arrow season 3, it's possible that she would've been in the Hong Kong flashbacks but was replaced by Katana

In season 8 Katana returns and fights China White, played by Kelly Hu, who has voiced both Katana and Lady Shiva in the past

128

In the Arrow pilot, Laurel tells Oliver that she can't see him as a master of the universe

Oliver's final act is creating a new universe

                            129

In The Flash season 8 finale, Reverse Flash grabs a plane out of the sky and hurls it at Barry, who catches and drops it to the side, definitely killing several people

                        0:19

                            130

Arrowverse shows are infamous for their bad/degrading CGI quality, however Black Lightning is the one example of a CW show where the VFX relatively improved over time

                        0:43
