You can trace the industrial revolution in New England down the Connecticut river, the major towns of industry, to their original federated industry, the Pennacook fishing wiers. The same points on the river were used for water-powered mills centuries later.
2
The Native Americans produced "public goods" via Tribal Confederacies-- things like fishing wiers were not "monopolies" or "private goods"-- their use was the natural right of all members in the confederacy, & their upkeep was a universal duty. This is communism.
3
Pre-Revolutionary American History is where the essence of American economic & political forms derive-- federated republican "town hall democracy" as found in New England, which Marx & Engels describe as "Actually existing communism"-- derives from Native American governance.

"I am weary of your quarrels,
Weary of your wars and bloodshed,
Weary of your prayers for vengeance,
Of your wranglings and dissensions;
All your strength is in your union,
All your danger is in discord;
Therefore be at peace henceforward,
And as brothers live together."

Ironically, you have the "Indigenous Land Back" people who want to destroy the preserved wisdom of the Native Americans found in American culture as it already exists-- like the influence of "The Great Peacemaker" Hiawatha upon the Constitution.
6
So you find the roots of American Communism in the Native Americans & in the Bible-- notably because the economy of the Bible, in "The Confederacy of the Tribes of Israel" is a close approximation. In trying to be "Biblical" the New Englanders were also becoming "Native."
7
The Book of Mormon ultimately depends upon this "imaginative conflation" of the Native Americans with the Tribes of Israel. It's also why you have "Post-Christian" Evangelicals (radical liberals &c) envisioning "Indigenous Society" as the "New Jerusalem"

You even have "Portuguese rabbi, kabbalist, writer, diplomat, printer, publisher, and founder of the first Hebrew printing press" Menasseh Ben Israel suggesting that the Native Americans were lost tribes of Israel.

The struggle of the Native Americans is representative of every American's struggle. Look forward to "Native American Christian Communism" emerging as the future of American Civic Faith.
