A caste society is divided as top and bottom and not so much as left and right. - A mini thread.

Vetrimaaran recently quipped that one should either choose to be at the left or the right (in political ideology).

And claiming to be at the centre is essentially the same as being at the right.

But does Vetrimaaran realize that while the Frontline magazine can be present at the left, The Hindu (English) is at the centre and Hindu Tamil Thisai (Tamil) be tilting towards the right.

And all publications are actually part of the same family. What we have to understand is that the same Brahmin or Brahmin family can literally take multiple avatars and be present across the political ideological spectrum.
4
In a caste society, what often determines the lives of people is not if they are at the left or right. But rather if they are at the top or bottom or the middle of the caste heirarchy.

There might be exceptions, but again, they are just that - exceptions.
