Sick of getting crushed by the aggro reg?

This one concept will destroy him

We all know that aggressive players over check raise, especially vs small c-bets

It's worth noting that they still overfold/ under raise to the large c-bet, but that's a concept for another day

First adjustment is easy. Strengthen the small c-bet range a bit, take out some of the air and the low equity stuff

But what's the real hammer blow to his strategy?

Flop 3betting

Top pairs, overpairs, and loads of bluffs

We don't take the nutted hands, he's too aggro so slow playing those makes more money

So how do we build a flop 3bet range?

Take J72r and we c-bet small. You could size up on the flop (given the overfold), but no big deal

Here's the theory flop 3bet facing a check raise. Very low

But what happens if increase his check raise slightly...?

23% flop 3bet!

The bluffs break into 4 parts

- Equity hands (gutshots, open enders)
- Bottom pair with a stronger kicker (A, K, Q)
- Middle pair, again with a stronger kicker
- Overcards like AK and KQ, blocking the best Jx with the ability to improve

The better kickers with the lower pairs do two jobs.

- They unblock more of his bluffs
- And they get value vs his merged pair check raises

You can also push it further by cutting your flop c-bet frequency with air, which punishes the over check raise even harder!

So strengthen your small c-bet range, bluff more with your larger c-bet and 3bet aggressively facing the check raise

This is only a small detail. If you want to crush the aggro regs in your pool I run a coaching programme that takes a few new applicants each month
