This is her story: Genelle was the last person pulled out of the rubble after being trapped for 27 hours.
A man named Paul stayed with her until firefighters arrived, but once they rescued her, Paul was gone. While recovering in the hospital, Genelle asked around for him but he did not exist. Several years later after still wondering where he could be, she realized Paul was an angel watching over her until she could be saved ❤️

This morning I met 9/11 survivor Genelle Guzman-McMillan who was trapped in North Tower rubble for 27 hours and became the last person rescued from the wreckage. It was an honor to present her with a Congressional Coin. Her story of survival is an incredible reminder of the American spirit 🇺🇸
