@motorolaindia @Moto_Support This is an update to my tweet from May 12. Still no resolution. I need to share the full story. My Moto Edge 40 Neo (bought Oct 2023) has a swollen battery - a fire risk. Everything else works perfectly. I just needed a battery replacement. (1/5)

I visited your authorised service centre on May 8. They checked the device, gave me a jobsheet & cost estimate. I agreed. They said they weren't sure if parts were available and would confirm in 1-2 days. I waited. (2/5)

When I followed up - they said Motorola has DISCONTINUED parts for this model. A phone launched Sept 2023. Not even 3 years old. I have this on a call recording, in writing, and a full jobsheet (QUIN093001260508041). (3/5)

I then reached out to @Moto_Support. Case #260513-004792 created May 13. Promised resolution in 2 working days. It's been 8 days. My work and daily life is suffering. The only suggestion I got was "Trade-On." That is not a resolution. (4/5)

@Moto_Support 6 devices, always Moto - that says enough. All I'm asking:
Replace my battery.
If you can't - because of YOUR discontinuation decision:
Replace my device at no cost to me.

Update: After my original post, Moto Support contacted me and arranged a battery for my Moto Edge 40 Neo. At the service center, I was told the battery wasn't available through their network and had been sourced from Chennai. (1/4)
7
When I asked if it was genuinely OEM, I was told it was, but only a 1-month warranty was offered. I then requested proof of authenticity/source before paying nearly ₹4,000 for the replacement. (2/4)
8
The representative said he would get back to me with the details, but never did. After returning from a work trip, I tried contacting him again, but my calls have gone unanswered. (3/4)
9
I'm not alleging the battery is fake. I'm simply asking Motorola to provide written confirmation that the battery being installed is a genuine OEM spare part sourced through an authorized channel.

@motorolaindia @Moto_Support Can someone please help clarify this? (4/4)

@motorolaindia @Moto_Support However, my question remains unanswered: Can you confirm that the battery arranged specifically for my Moto Edge 40 Neo replacement is a genuine Motorola OEM battery sourced through an approved Motorola channel?

Please confirm this so I can proceed with the replacement. (2/2)
