Putin announces that next-generation Sarmat ICBM will be deployed by end of 2026, after successful test.
"It is the most powerful missile system in the world... The total power of the delivered warhead is over 4 times greater than the power of any existing Western analogue. Secondly, and most importantly, the missile can move not only along a ballistic trajectory, but also along a suborbital trajectory, which, thirdly, allows for a range of over 35,000 km while simultaneously doubling its accuracy characteristics. Finally, it has the ability to overcome all existing and prospective missile defense systems."
