A month ago, I set up Hermes Agent on an old M1 Macbook i found in a drawer.

the setup: lid shut, plugged into the wall, running 24/7.
i tap into it from anywhere through Discord and Telegram.

built my trading bot on it. market open/close alerts, trade pings straight to Discord.
best part is that i just tell Hermes "tighten the stop loss" or "add $FSLY to the watchlist" and it handles it.

also running a health wiki on it. every podcast/study i like gets ingested.
all my biomarkers and workout history live in there. so when i ask a health question it doesn't give me generic advice.

hooked up my Robinhood skill too.
daily position summaries, watchlist alerts, P&L tracking - all in chat.
when i'm researching a buy or trim, Hermes already knows my full portfolio context so the answers are actually personalized.

so basically it functions more like an operator and not just a chatbot.
ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini are fine for brainstorming but this is for actually getting things done.
