These are 100% our guys, young, energetic, well organized, courageous, thinking through all the deepest problems of modernity, and making it practical for normal Brazilians.

They have tons of charismatic speakers, all loyal to the leader Renan Santos who is the unquestioned boss. He’s a philosopher with deep interests in mithraism, ancient scythian haplogroups, etc and also a rock star (he played a show after the rally).

He is somehow getting normal talented people to go in on this radical political program. For example they need a quota of women politicians but have a ready supply of young attractive blonde girls who can speak impressively on party strategy who run and win.

We came as a diplomatic mission from the Anglosphere (america and britain). Hanging out with MBL was a bizarre and surreal experience, like getting out of time machine and finding yourself in the good timeline where everything is in place and all that’s left is the fun part.

These guys are way ahead of us. The combination of talented young people, clear vision, hierarchical party organization, confidence, and growing success is extremely inspiring. It’s like all the best stuff we have in American youth politics, but all in one organization.

To be sober for a minute, they still have a long way to go. They have a lot of enemies to wade through before they win. The cartels will try to kill them. Once the American mainstream gets wind of them they’re going to flip out. But they know this, and have plans and courage.

They are not naive. They know they are walking into a war. It’s a major part of their platform. Their candidates for Rio are BOPE (police) guys, the kind of guys famous for killing cartel thugs. The crowd cheers when this comes up. They are ready.

Again my assessment is that without some disaster, they have all the energy and time on their side. Inevitable victory. It’s on the rest of us to watch their example and catch up. At least in this, Brazil is the country of the future for real this time.
