This post should be read by every single person on X and beyond.
Based on verified, sourced historical data, the total number of Palestinians killed in all wars, uprisings, and clashes with Israel from 1948 until right before October 7, 2023, is well under 30,000.
Even using the highest credible estimates for each period, the total lands in the low-to-mid 20,000s, nowhere near 30,000.
On the Israeli side, as of April 24, 2023, Israel’s official Memorial Day bulletin listed 24,213 people killed in wars/defense and in terrorist attacks since 1948.
That’s soldiers and civilians combined, and that’s months before October 7.
In other words, before Hamas’s massacre in 2023, the number of Israelis killed over 75 years was almost identical to the number of Palestinians killed in the same time.
These are not genocide numbers. Genocide is the deliberate, large-scale extermination of an entire people.
If Israel’s goal was extermination, the Palestinian death toll wouldn’t be in the tens of thousands after three-quarters of a century, it would be in the hundreds of thousands or millions. The Palestinian population wouldn’t have grown more than fivefold since 1948.
In nearly 7 decades of bloodshed, Israel has never responded to the West Bank with airstrikes except in few occasions, Because there were no missiles. No barrages of rockets targeting Israeli cities. No sirens sending children to bomb shelters in Tel Aviv or Ashkelon.
The casualty numbers tell the real story. This has been a long, bloody conflict, but the statistics show two sides fighting an ongoing war, not one side systematically erasing the other.
