4/ Before 2013, only about 20–30% of Ukrainians supported joining NATO. After russia illegally annexed Crimea in 2014, support jumped to over 50%. And today, after the full-scale invasion, nearly 90% of Ukrainians want NATO membership.

5/ The same pattern played out in Northern Europe: russia’s aggression forced historically neutral Sweden and Finland to join NATO. In fact, russia has done more to strengthen and expand NATO than any Western policy ever could.
