I wish I was still petty enough to go back & remind people individually about the things I was right about in the moment which only proved themselves indisputably later. It’s just not worth the effort, sadly.

I’ve gotten so used to this dynamic that I have no emotional attachment to it anymore. I can say “this is precisely how it will play out” to a chorus of naysayers & then watch it play out that way & then do it again the next day. I used to find it funny, but now I am mostly disappointed, as I’m rooting for people to “get it.”

I understand God more. “Yeah whatever you’ll find out in the end anyway.” No avoiding it.

Being haughty about it & having fun makes people less likely to admit to being wrong. It’s so annoying how you constantly have to be more charitable to people who are completely uncharitable with you. Jesus had this mastered but you can tell it pissed him off.

One of my favorite moments in the Gospels is Peter being do gungho waving a sword around & Jesus being like “calm down by the end of the day you’ll betray me thrice” & then he does lol

The one time Jesus gets properly pissed off with the moneylenders — wham— crucified. & then he has to forgive them on the cross? They know not what they do? Nothing is so true as this.

You can tell Jesus liked John the most because John was only ever like “when do we drop the nukes boss?”
