Aztec's Tombstone drill program has 2 different objectives

1st one is grow the footprint of oxide Au-Ag mineralisation around the Contention open pit

Both the east & south already successfully expanded by hundreds of metres

@AztecMinerals 1st step-out holes immediately show strong intersections in oxides

➡️103.6m of 0.75 g/t AuEq

➡️149.4m of 0.3 g/t AuEq

From a depth of just 50m

Red arrows are added to mark the locations👇
Now I'm very intrigued what those aggressive holes (blue & green dots) will show

@AztecMinerals The Contention open pit used to be a heap leach operation

For that you want oxide gold starting at or near surface, preferably over a large area

Currently results are in from the holes represented by a red dot below, all significant stepouts from known mineralisation

@AztecMinerals Assays from these step-outs show Tombstone was far from mined out:

➡️88.2m of 1.02 g/t AuEq
➡️114.3m of 0.60 g/t
➡️146.3m of 0.39 g/t

Heap leaching doesn't look sexy, but can be wildly profitable at grades well below 0.50 g/t

At Contention's widths & grades...🤤

@AztecMinerals However, historical mining at Tombstone wasn't limited to the open pit

There were a couple of underground mines that targeted the higher grade material👇

These were to the West of the Contention pit, an area they've poked some holes into

@AztecMinerals This area has a couple of historic underground mines, some of which went down to 240m deep

The Sulphuret Mine had an avg. production grade of 70oz/t (2,180 g/t) Ag

The Westside mine 67oz/t (2,085 g/t) Ag & 1.2oz/t (37.3 g/t) Au

Wild numbers

@AztecMinerals The CEO is targeting the release of the aggressive holes into the Westside Area for mid to end of January (yellow arrows)

Alongside outstanding holes from the southern area at the Contention pit (red arrows)

This could be an important few weeks for Aztec

@AztecMinerals A lot they're looking into for 2025

Surface exploration at the Cervantes project, preparing for step-out drilling

Additional drilling at Tombstone, size subject to what next assays show🍿

Test the deep CRD potential at Tombstone
Underappreciated potential here at Aztec
