🧵THREAD

That trademark 'British sense of humour' which many people of England hold dear was actually a creation of empire.

It developed out of the 'Golden Age of Satire' which flourished in the late 17th and 18th century:

1] The period that this era coincided with was a period in which party politics, the cabinet form of government, and constitutional monarchy were all newly forming.

With cabinet and constitutional forms of rule come a mass of puppets who make up the majority of government.
Media image

2] In this environment, satire and comedy acts as an outlet for people to emotionally express civil disobedience without having to participate in it physically.
Media image

3] This is great for the ruling class as if people's appetites are satiated by indulging in consistent petty mockery and outrage at incompetency and scandal, they do not seek the truth out of who the real establishment are and what the long term agenda is.
Media image
5
4] As well as puppets, another common victim of satire campaigns are groups who are not part of the establishment itself, but were savvy enough to benefit from the advantages that were given to the common man during a temporary window for an ulterior long term goal.

5] One example of this can be seen in the cartoonization and targeted satire against the 'Yuppies' of Margaret Thatcher's and Ronald Reagan's administrations.

This group specifically refers to the flashy 80s new money types who benefitted from 'Reaganomics' and 'Thatcherism'.

6] Although there is plenty of room to criticise the Patrick Bateman type yuppie, their enshrinement in satire played on common jealousy of this newly emergent class.

This created a distracting and powerless group that society was given license to and tempted to mock and insult.

7] Another great example of this can also be seen with the 'Nabobs' of the British East India company.

These were middle class beneficiaries of the Company who engaged in colonialism and reaped its benefits, then returning to England and attempting to become players in society.

8] These were the subject of a satirical play by Samuel Foote called 'The Nabob'.

This play would cartoonize the Nabobs and criticise their corrupt practices in India.

9] Although every participant in colonialism is of course engaging in evil, by restricting the focus within culture to this unruly group which made up the rank and file of the BEIC, the public were kept in the dark regarding the Livery companies that ran it.

@SH37363543 10] This becomes even more significant once you look at the fact that George Colman, the man who the script was published under, passed through the Inns of Court as a barrister which are found just outside the square mile of the City of London where said livery companies are
Media image
12
@SH37363543 11] By creating these common archetypes in people's minds of who the symbolic undesirables are, this allows history to be written in a way that continually blames that the rank and file group as opposed to the puppet masters at the top.
Media image
13
@SH37363543 12] This works by turning said group into a symbol of fear and repulsion.

In future, desired agendas can then be advanced by having present controlled opposition figures display language, behavior, and symbols which intentionally mirror the sinners of yesteryear.
Media image
14
@SH37363543 13] The faction in charge of advancing the present agenda can then point to these controlled opposition figures and factions, saying:

'These people are a return to ____ and we can not go back to that place'.

15
@SH37363543 14] Whatever gets inserted into the gap has already been drilled into that population's head as being history's chief villain.

Often times, they actually are people who committed disgusting actions or hold disgusting beliefs, but were still only agents or duped common folk.
Media image
16
@SH37363543 15] The key to is to get these actors to portray past villains in a spoof-like manner.

This way, they repel the crowd that disagrees with the era the actor represents, while causing those who see that era as a fix to present ills to perceive the others as being dramatic babies.
Media image
17
@SH37363543 16] This has the desired effect of driving one faction into the hands of the faction the establishment wants them to be in, creates brewing resentment in the other, and ensures that the real power structure stays hidden.
Media image
18
@SH37363543 17] Through years of establishment enabled persecution of the current controlled opposition faction, aided and abetted by spoof and comedy, there also arises support from normal, apolitical people who can see the persecuting side is acting increasingly more radical and alarming.
Media image
19
@SH37363543 18] Eventually the pendulum swings and the controlled opposition becomes the leader, enshrined in folklore through relentless persecution.

The masses who vote to escape the chaos keep making the same mistake, as the new agenda leads to the same place but with a different mask.
Media image
20
@SH37363543 19] Quite often, comedy can play a big part in this.

For example, the overtly senile and theatrically incompetent Joe Biden was purposefully made into the laughing stock of the world and was the butt reels across the algorithm of every American who owns a mobile phone.
Media image
21
@SH37363543 20] From these comedic gaffes (as well as provocation by things like border control and the Afghan pullout), many Americans were firmly repelled against the Democrats.

The party became a symbol of mockery, tricking many into placing hope in the more competent MAGA Party.
Media image
22
@SH37363543 21] What they failed to realise is when figures like Biden, Harris, and Boris Johnson are brought in who are over the top incompetent, it is to drive you into opposition's arms.

The opposition then advances the long term agenda under the auspices of fixing what the last guy did.
Media image
23
@SH37363543 22] People need to understand that no matter how alarming the present chaos, it is temporary.

The light at the end of the tunnel you think you see in the figure presently opposing the chaos is actually manufactured desperation designed to lead you into a bigger trap.
Media image
24
@SH37363543 23] Depending on why the new actor has been brought in, they'll either appease people on unimportant subjects while empire building in the name of fixing the past mess, or betray everyone at the start because what they were brought in to do required an angry and divided populace.
Media image
Media image
25
@SH37363543 24] Either immediately or over time, this new actor begins with their own brand of chaos to begin swinging the dialect back the other way.

This chaos is usually unforseen, and can coincide with geopolitical events and figures (as we are seeing with the Musk and Starmer beef).
Media image
26
@SH37363543 25] Along with this chaos comes alarm and resent, but also a whole heap of comedy and satire.

This again serves as an tool to to fool the slaves into thinking they have some sort of say or power because they can mock puppets, keeping them from direct civil disobedience.
Media image
27
@SH37363543 26] Once you understand this, it is harder for puppets to fool you into becoming emotional.

It also gets easy to spot when controlled elements in comedy, satire, and late night TV shows are trying to provoke you into this culture of cathartic rage mockery.
Media image
28
@SH37363543 27] That's not to say laughing at puppets is in itself bad, but this is very different than empire comedy which is used to further dialectics and no doubt uses a myriad of subtle provocative nudging techniques perfected at Tavistock and its equivalent forebears.
Media image
29
@SH37363543 28] Another way satire and comedy serves the establishment well is for targeting genuine dissidents who are not controlled opposition.

This essentially amounts to a more civilised and gift wrapped version of the overt othering that happens in communist and fascist nations.
Media image
30
@SH37363543 29] In England this has historically been used to target people like the Irish, who nearly everyone grew up hearing jokes about that painted them as being empty headed.
Media image
31
@SH37363543 30] In more recent years this has expanded to include the city of Liverpool, the majority of whom are of Irish descent and typically much more resistant to falling in line with the rest of the slaves during X Y and Z agenda.
Media image
32
@SH37363543 31] From year upon year of tabloid attacks and mockery within comedy, Liverpool now bears the brunt of many insults that paint them as animalistic savages, when in fact the first thing that anyone who visits there actually comes back saying is how nice everybody is.
Media image
33
@SH37363543 So to conclude, while I love comedy, the British, and our sense of humour, it is also important to remember the ways it can be weaponized by empire and try to refrain from contributing to whatever the desired effect of this is wherever possible.
