If I were to start a new business today, I would do this 🧵 :

- search on google/reddit/X/quora for "is there are a tool/product/service"
- make a list of 100 such requests and extract ideas
- pick one based on google search traffic
- build & launch a directory & social media profile
- drive traffic (6mo)
- create one blog article a day inside my directory
- 1 guest post a day with listicles, e.g. "12 best.." with a link "see more"
- reply with a thoughtful answer and a link to my directory under all relevant social media posts (20 a day)
- get 5 backlinks a day
- once I passed 10k visitors a month, build free tools
- place them as banners on the directory
- test 10-20 free micro tools in the next 6 months
- pick the winner at the end
- build a proper saas out of the winner tool
- show a blocking popup on a directory to every user who enters it
- from now on I have traffic on autopilot
- the only job left is to listen to the users and improve the product
- gummysearch.com for reddit research
- ads.google.com/aw/keywordplan… for keyword research
- unicornplatform.com to build a directory
- replit.com, bolt.new, vo.dev, lovable.dev to build free micro tools
- seobotai.com + listingbott.com for SEO
If I didn't know how to code, I'd go to mvpwizards.com to find a developer who'd build my MVP.
