Some people see the single urban female / girlboss issue through the lens of politics, others through religion. Both are valid views.
Let me suggest that economics is what creates the situation - and will end the situation, female feelings notwithstanding.

The affluent single urban female demographic is very unusual historically, and it is created by an almost staggering abundance of goods.
These women produce essentially nothing in terms of the real goods that sustain civilization.

Food, electricity, cars, phones, the planes to travel with, the clothes and shoes they enjoy - they produce none of this, they don't know how to produce it, and they don't really care. Their lives are about status, enjoyment, a dash of hedonism, & consuming what others produce

Effectively, it comes down to a toxic combination of politics and economics. They are people. They get to vote for their interests. The Dems promise to give them everything.
And the government then takes from those who produce, to give to those who only consume.

This is the heart of the matter for those who say the feelings of the females must be understood, and the giving of the goods has to be competed for.
Their feelings are that they want very comfortable lives without giving, well, anything in return.

They are excess and surplus, they can only be afforded by a society wallowing in excess wealth.
As that wealth is produced - many will find themselves without high paying bullshit jobs.
They won't have the skills. They won't have children or husbands.

And they, in the natural order of things, will bear the full consequences of selfish decisions made on the basis of feelings rather than logic.
