I don’t believe in “conspiracy theories” so much as I observe classes producing ideological justifications rationalizing their actions. I don’t think “there’s a conspiracy”— I think “the reason for this transcends individual psychological motivations.”

I don’t think “there’s a conspiracy to promote Nietzsche”— I think that Nietzsche was popular amongst Nazis & as the Allies sought to reincorporate Nazis into what has become NATO, that required reincorporating their favorite philosopher, & so a “NATO compatible Nietzscheanism” was created to this end, & this became entrenched in the university canon as it was being established & rationalized internationally in the same era. It’s like how there’s already an attempt to “rehabilitate” internet nazis into a cyberwar with Russia/China/Iran etc. There’s already “the good nazis in ukraine” & “the bad nazis who oppose NATO.”

The people involved don’t have to agree on this as some sort of plot— they’re brought together by elective affinities— Ritchie Boy german jewish psychological operations guys like Kaufmann were literally “just doing their jobs”— & not cynically, but wholeheartedly believing in what they were doing. It’s not a “conspiracy theory”— it’s just what happened.

Books are not promoted or assigned for no reason— there’s a reason for the marketing of any commodity, including books, & it has nothing to do with merit.
