It's so funny to me how the British-Israelite adjacent Christian Zionists/Dispensationalists are always placing "Gog & Magog" as their enemies in Russia & the Middle East -- while they carry around statues of Gog & Magog through London every year. George W Bush said to the French PM (Chirac) that "Gog and Magog are at work in the Middle East" to justify the invasion of Iraq-- but maybe he was saying that London was ordering it lol

It also blows my mind that almost nobody in the "conspiracy theory" space has anything to say about the Lord Mayor's Parade, Guildhall, etc.

"Gog and Magog are at work" -- ie: British intelligence is doing Operation Mass Appeal

If you want to do a genealogical view of Gog & Magog, which is what is generally done to suggest Iran/Russia are "Gog & Magog" -- you don't find 'em there.

Queen Christina of Sweden reckoned herself as number 249 in a list of kings going back to Magog.

There is also a medieval Hungarian legend that says the Huns, as well as the Magyars, are descended from twin brothers named Hunor and Magor respectively, who lived by the sea of Azov in the years after the flood, and took wives from the Alans.

That is, that the Scythians(called Magogians by the Greeks)/Goths etc. These are the "Sons of Japheth" in the table of Nations in Gen 10:2 -- Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshech, and Tiras.

Tiras-- Thracians
Tubal -- Tabal

Essentially-- the geographic categories are treated as static realities, rather than as portraits of people groups & "nations" that moved out from there. As it is said about the Sons of Japheth in Genesis 9:27 "God shall enlarge Japheth, and he shall dwell in the tents of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant." The term "Indo-European" was just a secularization of the older term "Japhetic" or "Japhetite" -- even though "Semitic" ie: Shemitic remains in use.

This was how Flavius Josephus placed it in 100AD.

So then you have to ask-- "Where did the British come from?" -- well, the North, Scandinavians, Sakai/Scythians/Saxons-- & then "Where did they come from?" -- & if you go back far enough, this is the question of the origin of Germanic peoples.

As always, someone already figured it out, & that someone is always Leibniz who in 1710 proposed the concept of the so-called Japhetic language group, consisting of languages now known as Indo-European.

Finnegans Wake includes its own historical epoch, a time when British Israelites were digging up the Irish mounds of Tara to find the Arc of the Covenant.
