America was founded after the Popular Monarchy of the English Speaking Peoples was turning into a Technocratic Republic-- this is why Americans have a completely warped perspective as to what Politics even refers to.
2
The Founding Fathers were far less hostile to Monarchy than the average Liberal Anarchist has today-- the Founding Fathers were against what was called "ROYALISM" which is the suggestion that the Divine Right of Kings comes from Bloodlines & not the People Themselves.
3
In fact-- the Founding Fathers, & the American Patriots-- hoped that George III would be a "People's King" against the Royalist Parliament-- & he sort of was-- George III basically supported the Revolution after the fact & considered Washington the greatest man living.
4
Popular Monarchy is the conception that "Divine Right" is identical to the People's Will-- this is why "Popular Election" literally translates out of Protestant Political theory as "Divine Right"-- Royalism is Anti-Popular Monarchy, where God's Will is *not* the People's Will.
5
The Transformation of the Popular Monarchy into the Anti-Popular/Royalist Monarchy (considered "Tyranny" by Whigs, who split between "Radical Whigs" or "Populist Republicans" & "Liberal Whigs" or "Technocratic Republicans") happened in "The Glorious Revolution" of 1688.
6
The American President was *supposed to be* the very definition of a Popular Monarch-- who was "Divinely Elected" by the People's Representatives. The opposition to Presidential/Federal Power was from the Cavalier Royalists of the Southern Oligarchy.
7
Due to these contingencies-- Americans have a weird sense of "Technocratic Royalism" -- which you get in things like "Trust the Science" used as a slogan for the continual support of the Rights of Propertied Bloodlines (the Oligarchy) against the People's Will.
8
"The Science" means "The System of Royal Titles" -- or "The Process" -- many euphemisms for "The Rule Based Order" etc. Popular Monarchism is the enemy of the day-- represented by Xi Jinping & Vladimir Putin (both more popular domestically than any US president in our lifetime).
9
To make sense of how fucking warped the American Political Imagination is-- you have to go really really far back-- because most of what people think the American Revolution accomplished was accomplished long long before the American Revolution.
10
"The Revolution ended the Popular Monarchy"-- nope! That had happened a long time before that! Cromwell was the last Popular Monarch. Jacobites were Popular Monarchists seeking to restore the Popular Monarchy of the Stuarts. The Hanoverian Coup created a Technocratic Republic.
11
The Counter-Revolution to Cromwell kept the Parliamentary Supremacy, but eliminated the Popular Sovereignty. Royalism bled into Capitalism-- to have Capital/Titles/Property was to *be* Royal, & Royal in the sense of "Being Worthy of Representation in the Technocratic Republic"
12
By the time of Queen Victoria, both the British Empire & the American Republic were on the last legs of Technocratic Republic-- & thus began the age of Anti-Popular Monarchy in the Anglosphere. We are at the end of that, in the Great Anarchy, before the next Popular Monarchy.

The Definition of Popular Monarchy for the English Speaking is: KING ARTHUR

Always has been-- always will be.
