The concept of "Straussian esotericism" is really just the theory of ideology in marxism but from the reverse perspective-- every "political philosopher" (sophist) is writing an application letter for the court of power. Aristotle was a sophist. Wake up.

Prophecy is the opposite of "esotericism" -- because the prophet is not applying for a position in the court-- the prophet is invoking the Absolute in order to strike fear into the powerful & courage into the people. There is no "absolute" for a sophist-- only "perspectives"
