The omega could not help but think that the alpha looks at him like...

Which was, again, odd.
-- one of them is the limited remaining days that the alpha had left to prove to Taehyung that he’s really serious in courting him.
The idea of his feelings being requited made him /stupidly/ happy.
That he made a mistake.
It was the only time when things didn’t feel right and everything felt foreign, like the air percolated with awkwardness and hesitancy,
To keep their safe place safe.
But despite it all, he still holds on to that beat. That damn beat.
/Stupid beat/, Taehyung sighed as he moved his mouse to bring his computer to life.
He instantly nods at him. “Right away, Sajangnim,” he replies. “Anything else?”
Taehyung nods at him. “Okay, sir. Anything else?” Sajangnim shakes his head at him. “Okay, I’ll do it all right now, sir. I’ll take care of it.”
“I know you do, Secretary Kim.” he answers.
“Just bring it inside,” Taehyung tells him, putting a hand over his phone’s receiver. “He’s expecting you.”
“You better!” Minjae teases. “Anyway, I’m here. I’ll text you later once I pass the message, hyung.”
It’s a couple of minutes of silence with just the sound of his fingers pressing the keys of his keyboard echoing in the empty room --
“Can I help you, Manager Park?” he says in what he hopes is an amicable tone but the distaste in his tone was evident.
Taehyung sighs before he takes the bag, realizing that he himself hasn’t eaten yet and takes a peek inside to see what it is out of curiosity.
