✧･ﾟ timkon reading guide ･ﾟ✧

this is a reading guide for tim drake (robin / red robin) and conner kent / kon-el (superboy). they are not a canon couple in dc comics as of rn but who knows for the future.

✯ POST-CRISIS ✯

↳ tim was introduced in 1989 and conner was introduced in 1993 making them both post-crisis on infinite earths characters and therefore most of their canon interactions are from this time

↠ conner visits gotham to hang out with tim
↠ he ends up helping tim out on a mission with cass cain
↠ came out the same day as young justice #30 but can be read whenever

↠ read the whole series for plot reasons if you want but the last two issues deal with his death and tims reaction

Teen Titans (2003) #34-37

↠ tim is going through it because people keep dying on him so he tries to clone conner
↠ you can keep going with teen titans if you want but theres no more timkon moments until the end after these issues

↠ tim gets a new robin costume after conner’s death
↠ you dont really need to read this everything is in this panel

↠ tim helps to reassure him and lets him know hes always there

✯ NEW 52 ✯

↳ this is a reboot of the dc universe where backstories are changed for many characters, including tim and conner. i dont recommend these comics but theyre here nonetheless

Teen Titans (2011) #5, 7, 9-14, 18-24, 27, annual 2

↠ tim creates a plan to rescue conner and then he joins the team
↠ despite the retcon they become close again

(genuinely tho youre better off looking up the timkon panels than reading whatever this was)

Superboy (2011) #9, 19, 26, 28-29

↠ coincides with teen titans
↠ the team shows up to help sometimes, again nothing too important

Teen Titans (2014) #9-12, annual 1

↠ the teen titans dont trust conner but tim is the only one who wants to help him
↠ like the only good timkon panels to come out of new52

↠ bonus: #24 has tim going to a pride parade with miguel (bunker) and its quite iconic

✯ REBIRTH ✯

↳ this is another reboot where origins are more or less reinstated to pre new52 and many people use this as a kick off point to get into dc comics

Detective Comics (2016) #966-967

↠ because of the reboot many characters have forgotten conner
↠ future tim basically reminds present tim of who conner is

Young Justice (2019) #1-20

↠ young justice reunite and find conner in gemworld
↠ tim goes to zatanna to help get his memories fixed
↠ not the best series but its the most timkon we have in rebirth thus far

Action Comics (2016) #1020-1021

↠ young justice make an appearance to help out
↠ not very timkon but important for conner’s arc as he tries to get the superfam to remember him
↠ came out around young justice #13-14

Dark Nights: Death Metal - The Last Stories of the DC Universe (2020)

↠ they show up in the background of “together” and “end interlude”
↠ this is like the extent of their interaction tho

Batman: Urban Legends (2021) #4-6

↠ tims coming out arc
↠ not very timkon as conner only shows up in #5 but very important for tim
