The same scholar who attacked the Trinity (and whose arguments Muslims still use for their erroneous "corrupted Torah and Injil" claims) looked at the standard Sunni distinction between Allah's Essence and His Attributes and observed that this destroys tawhid. 🤣
Multiple eternal Attributes that are *other* than Allah??

Realize ➝ your anti-Trinity arguments are the same ones THEY used against you.
Maimonides: Real positive Attributes distinct from the Essence = multiplicity in God. Period.
Yet, we Christians do not even say anything in God is distinct from His Essence. You do. 😂

3/ The Catholic Dogma of the Trinity doesn't play Islamic multiplicity games.
We hold real Divine Simplicity: Essence, Existence, and 'Attributes' are identical in God.
The Persons are distinct by pure relations of origin, nothing is added to the simple Essence.
God is One, with no parts and no composition such as extra eternal sifat hanging onto the dhat.

Key critics of Trinitarianism, Ibn Ḥazm (your own) and Maimonides (a figure you try to weaponize against Christianity) all looked at the sifat ≠ dhat doctrine and saw the very same problem you wrongly pretend exists in the Trinity.

This problem isn’t limited to Ash'arism, but hits *every* school of Sunni aqeedah.
🔹 Ash'arism → sifat are zā’ida ʿalā al-dhāt (additional to the essence).
🔹 Maturidism → same formula
🔹Atharism → you still affirm multiple real, uncreated sifat that are not identical to the dhat. We don't care if you say "bila kayf", you affirm eternal realities in Allah beyond Essence.
