VITAMIN K2 is easily one of my favorite supplements ever. Boosts T,...

The research on K2 is pretty split between both. Both have utility.
Personally, I've always used MK-4 with myself and clients.
Can start as low as 2 mg and can go up to around 45 mg without worry.

1. It serves as a cofactor for carboxylation reactions. Essentially - it modifies certain proteins in the body, which ends up altering their function. This seems to be behind many of its beneficial effects
2. Prevents excessive calcium uptake. Calcium is very important but should not be chronically elevated in tissues like the brain or arteries. Sustained calcium elevations cause overexcitation, cell death, hardening, basically a bunch of things that cause disease.
3. Supports mitochondria. K2 actually serves as a component of energy production in mitochondria, and supports them via the aforementioned mitochondrial biogenesis increase.
4. Decreases estrogen. Estrogen can become elevated and drive multiple issues like gut problems, heart issues, and stress. K2 prevents estrogen overload.
5. Antioxidant / anti-inflammatory. These are the prime causes of death and destruction within tissues, contributing to just about every pathological condition under the sun.
MK-7 is mainly in natto (fermented soybeans), certain aged cheeses (Brie, Gouda), miso, sauerkraut & kimchi.
However, for some of these effects, you might need to supplement for bigger doses.
