VITAMIN C: ⇨ Anti-cancer ⇨ Lowers stress ⇨ Renews skin ⇨ Improves...

I would aim for even more than that, given how much stress, inflammation and oxidative stress the modern world throws at us.
A serum vitamin C test is available, which is a good metric.
Most vitamin C supplements are garbage, since they are produced from a highly inflammatory fungus.
I highly suggest if you do, you get it from a whole food source.
I normally use acerola cherry powder from purebulk. No additives, no contaminants.
It is pretty safe to mess around with. I think 500 mg as a starting dose is reasonable, up to several grams.
The main risks at the higher doses are:
1. Diarrhea or loose bowels (resolves itself quickly)
2. Increased iron absorption (can be toxic at high levels)
If you have those things in check, you're good to go.
