"I curse you Bakugo Katsuki..." Bakugo struggles as he was being held down by Gentle's magick and La Brava casting hers.

"You..." He grits his teeth trying to get up. "As if I'd fucking let you do something to me."

"To always find yourself... □-■■-..."
2
Bakugo wakes up with a start, sweat running down his face. He catches his breath he never even noticed he lost and notices that he was in a sickroom, Chiyo's at that.
3
He hears the light tapping of the old woman's staff. "So you're finally awake. Thought it'll take another day or two." She says, going to her seat beside Bakugo's bed. "How are you feeling young one?"

Bakugo touches his forehead, "Just an headache. How long was I out for?"
4
"Just about 12 hours. You didn't sustain any heavy injuries but I've noticed that they put you on a deep sleep spell." She explains, lightly tapping Bakugo's head with her staff to invoke a small healing spell but Bakugo declines it.

"Do you remember what happened to you?"
5
"Not much. I went too easy on that brat who was trying to tamper on the kingdom's protection barrier that I didn't notice the one she was with." Bakugo tuts at the memory. "I remember they held me down and..."

"I think the girl put a curse on me."
6
"Oh dear, that is a bit alarming...! That's why I noticed a hint of foreign magick on you." Chiyo taps her staff on Bakugo's chest and a purple light comes out of it.

"This one," The hag studies it. "This is not one of your mana, I assume?"

Bakugo frowns. "No."
7
Chiyo taps the purple light back to his chest.

"Can't you just take it away...?" Bakugo asks, cautiously holds onto his chest.
8
Chiyo sighs, shaking her head. "I'm sorry youngin. This type of curse is sure to have been meticulously put and, by the looks of it, practiced well enough." She walks down the hall to take a glass of water. "Unless I am aware of what the curse is, I cannot help you."
9
"Why not?"

"Because then, it'll be always be a part of you."

10
After months of being cursed by some random extra, Bakugo strived to live life as he always did.

Going on adventures, defeating demons and villains, saving villages, finishing dungeons, and aiming to become the best hero that surpasses even All Might.
11
Bakugo didn't let anything stop him before, so why now would he ever stop just because he got cursed? He decided he didn't let some puny curse be a reason for him to slow down.

At least, that's what he thought he did.
12
He didn't notice it at first but, somehow, no matter how many adventures he goes to. No matter how many demons and villains he defeated. Or how many victories he held after saving a village. Or how much he dungeons he cleared.

Bakugo can never seem to find himself satisfied.
13
At the back of his mind, he believed that it was because he just needed to do more. But, at the end of the day-- the end of every battle, his heart feels empty.
14
The exhilarating battles he's had won never feels the same. His heart, where the curse resides, feels like ot has a gaping whole that can never be filled by anything. Anything he does, pointless.

It was like he was missing something. Longing for something.
15
In his long walks, Bakugo finds himself glancing to his back thinking he heard something following him. Missing something.

In the quiet night sky as he soars alone, he hears a laugh that wasn't there. Missing it.
16
In every victory, Bakugo tries to grab someone beside him who wasn't there. Missing something.

In every dungeon he was raiding, he reaches out for a note or a map but finds nothing given to him. Missing something.
17
In every call of the people of telling him being the best hero, Bakugo longs for a name to be called by. Missing something.

In his sleep, Bakugo dreams of a nameless faceless boy walking in front of him in the dark.
18
He never lets anyone walk in front of him. Bakugo hated that, yet this warm person in dreams he always let him walk in front.

Bakugo wants to see him, to keep him within arm's reach. Bakugo longs for him.

"Kacchan..." that name again.
19
The boy always calls him that. It echoes through the vast darkness of his dreams and through his own veins.

"I heard that dragons have good memories! It is said that your people can remember even the smallest things in your whole life!" He gleefully says.
20
"What of it?" Bakugo replies, not aware that he could've done that the whole time. Or maybe it's a memory, he can't tell. No one can ever be so sure of dreams.
21
"Nothing much, I guess I'm hoping you'd remember every little thing about our adventure Kacchan." The boy says.

"Every little thing of me."
22
The boy starts to move away from him like he was being pulled away from he was. And Bakugo was stuck, the darkness enveloping both his feet pulling him down. Bakugo tries to scream but his voice won't come out.

"Kacchan... remember me."
23
Bakugo tries to get the dark heavy goo off his body but it all just comes on him. Heavily pulling him down. The boy was farther away from him.

"Kacchan. You must remember."

"My name is ■|●°○□|▪︎▪︎>▪︎."

"Kacchan."
24
"Katsuki-san!!"

Bakugo jolts awake and hits his head on the person just above his head. They both groan rubbing foreheads to ease the pain.

"Fucker...!" He grabs the other's collar and snaps at him. "The fuck were you even doing shitnerd?!"
25
The other simply puts his hands up in defeat, "I was just-- worried! I saw you writhing in pain, alone. Sleeping in the woods just outside the village and you'd think I won't be worried?!" He defensively says.

Bakugo tuts, and lets the other go. "Whatever, just leave me alone."
26
Bakugo gets up to gather his things and walk off for the village.

Deku trails behind him.

He turns and shouts to him. "Don't fucking follow me Deku!"

Startled, Deku the closes up to him at his side. "Don't fucking walk beside me either!"

"So unreasonable, Katsuki-san."
27
Bakugo pauses. "Don't call me that. We're not that fucking close. Know your place."

Silence befalls between them and Deku smiles bitterly. "Sorry about that, Bakugo-san. I just thought it was fine, that was the only name you responded to when I was waking you up earlier. So..."
28
"I don't give a fuck." He grumbles and continues walking.

Deku lags further behind. This snaps something on Bakugo, he turns around again and demands Deku to walk in front of him.

"Just fucking walk. I'm not familiar with the trails with your hidden village. Guide me there."
29
"What brings you back to the village then, Bakugo-san?"

Despite his anger, Bakugo answers Deku. He'd rather answer now than have to deal with Deku's loud thinking and curious glances.

"To see the village healer, now mind your business."

You're confused? I am too! Funny coincidence.

But basically, Bakugo was cursed to miss something/someone he's longing for. In a way, this "miss" have different meanings in this fic. He misses the memories he had with Izuku and...
31
Bakugo "misses" looking at Izuku. There is no better way to describe this but it is somewhat similar to what happened to that witch from the movie "stardust" where she can hear, see etc. The star, Yvaine.

This one Bakugo sees Deku but it's like he only see past him.
32
In his mind, though he doesn't remember Deku's real name, Izuku and Deku are separate.

As for Deku's case and why he acts like this around Bakugo, he was adviced not to push himself to him because Chiyo was unsure of what would happen to the curse if they were to do that.

Hope that helped somehow. Thank you for reading.
