Jungkook runs towards Jimin as soon as he sees him going towards his class and jumps on his shoulders. “Hey youuuu.. why are you all by yourself huh?? Where's your..” he air quotes, “soulmate. Still hiding under his bed or what?” Jungkook smirks.
Taehyung didn't show up after the last prank he pulled. He didn't even retaliate. Which is so unlike Taehyung. And so.. it makes Jungkook wonder where Taehyung could be. Now he cannot ask Taehyung's friends directly about his whereabouts because they were not friends.
Forget friends, they are not even close. Academic rivals at best. “Not in the mood Jungkook. Get off my back.” Jimin shrugs off Jungkook's arm from his shoulder. “No wait! Seriously, where is he? I have so many new ideas to pull off on him.
How would I do that if he keeps hiding like that?” Jimin stops and takes a deep breath before turning. “Find someone else for your stupid pranks Jungkook, because Tae is gone.” Jungkook frowns, “Gone? Where did he go? Is he visiting his family?”
“So you really don't know?” Jimin asks, a little amused. Jungkook shakes his head in denial. “Tae took a transfer. He went to the States. He'll continue his studies there.” Jimin gives him a tight lipped smile.. feeling sad inside as his best friend left the country.
His emotions are valid because that's his best friend. But Jungkook's? Why is Jungkook gaping like a wish out of the water? “Is this some new prank from him? I swear I'm gonna break his nose.” Jungkook says.. sounding a lot serious all of a sudden.
“Sure. But you have to go to the States for that. We even had a farewell party for him last Saturday. It was just close friends so don't mind if he didn't invite you.” Jimin turns back to go to his class. “Goodbye Jungkook.”
Jimin leaves Jungkook alone with his thoughts all over the place. Taehyung left? For real? Jungkook is Taehyung's nemesis.. and his secret one sided lover. Yes.. he's been pinning over Taehyung since the moment he saw him.
But he goes all love sick puppy mode whenever he acts on his feelings. So he pretends to be this cool.. confident stud that he is. He tries to match what Taehyung stands for. Taehyung is extremely cool and extremely hot and on everyone's love radar.. be it girls or boys.
And Jungkook has to compete with each and every person who drools for Taehyung. So he puts extra efforts to have Taehyung's attention and he wins every freaking day. Taehyung notices him everyday. He even looks (glares) at him too.
And if Jungkook gets lucky.. Taehyung talks (curses) to him too. And now Taehyung is just… gone? Just like that? Jungkook didn't even get to tell him about his feelings.. confess about his ever blooming love for him.
It didn't sting much when he realised that Taehyung didn't invite him to his farewell party.. because they were not ‘close friends’ but the fact that he didn't even get to see him one last time before Taehyung left.. hurts like hell.
The bell rings and brings Jungkook back from whatever shock he went into. With a deep breath and moist eyes.. he goes back to his class.
