- ♡ - The sound of a wet mop echoed in the silent room as it wiped the floor clean. A blonde-haired male, who was cleaning the floor, had his music on. Working while vibing to music is a perfect combination, isn't it?
He was so into the music that he didn't care about the sweat gathered on his forehead, droplets fighting among themselves to fall first and touch his honey-toned skin. What time was it? Maybe evening, judging by the silence in the entire university.
Maybe some staff members were still there. The door of the silent library opened and a black-haired male entered. His hands were filled with some books he had to arrange on a new shelf. He stopped in his tracks when he saw the blonde-haired male still working.
He shook his head in disbelief. Blond was overworking again, even after his shift had ended. He knew how hardworking the blond was, but he had someone waiting for him at home. He walked towards the blond and put his hand on his shoulder to gain his attention.
"Taehyung!" The said male flinched at the sudden arrival in his silent empire. Taehyung turned around to face the silver-haired male. "Oh, Hyungsik hyung, you scared me." He placed his hand on his chest over his heart to calm it and chuckled after seeing Hyungsik's done face.
"Taehyung, it's past 6pm. You should stop overworking and go home. Hanni must be waiting for you at home. It will be dark soon, go home," he worriedly said. Then realization dawned upon Taehyung as he checked the time immediately. He cursed himself under his breath and smiled
at Hyungsik. "I will go now. Umm Hyung, I took two books from the third row of B section. I will return them the day after tomorrow, after reading. Is that okay?" he asked. Even though he knew, Hyungsik won't say no to him.
"You're asking like it's the first time you're taking books from here. It's been years, Tae, stop being awkward," Hyungsik laughed lightly and patted Taehyung's shoulder. "Yah! I'm not awkward. It's basic manners" Taehyung said in his defense. Which only made Hyungsik laugh.
"Yeah yeah. Now go and I have to lock the library too. Unlike you, my poor bones need rest and I have a wife at home to take care of. Inform me when you leave and tell Hanni her Sik uncle misses her," he left from there to arrange his books after getting a nod from Taehyung.
"It's almost done. I'm leaving after this," Taehyung replied, sighing after looking at the area which was still left. The thought of Hana crossed his mind and a smile spread on his face. His daughter.
His reason to work hard and never give up. He pulled out his phone and dialed his best friend's number. His soulmate, his backbone. Jimin. He daily thanked God for giving Jimin to him. If Jimin was not there, maybe he would have given up a long time ago. "Hey mimi!"
"Tae! where are you? It's almost dark. Hanni is behaving fussy too. Come here soon," Jimin whined from the other side. Taehyung chuckled at his misery. Hana can give hard time too. It's adorable for him when she acts like this because with others, she is reserved.
It's only her close ones who get to see her real side. "I'm leaving soon. I will bring dinner with me too. Today I got my paycheck, you know. So today's dinner is on me!!" he wiggled his waist, a little dance as he cheered. #taekookau
"Oh God, I love you!! Come soon, I wil—" Jimin was cut when a loud sound of utensils falling echoed behind him. "Oh no Hanni, not there baby!! Tae bye!" And the call ended. Taehyung sighed and put his phone back in his pocket. Guess he had work at home too.
He was a little worried for Hana too. She was fussy nowadays because of the changing weather. She has sensitive skin and it irritates her because her skin itches a lot this time. After putting the mop and bucket in the store room, he went back to the library to inform Hyungsik.
"HYUNG I'M LEAVING!" he shouted and collected the books he had put separately to take with him. He looked down at the books he was holding and smiled. As he walked on the silent street of his university, he enjoyed the cold breeze tickling his skin.
This was his life. Once he was known as a brilliant scholar of his school, but now he was just a worker in the university. A worker. He maintains the building of the university, cleans it and helps university staff with whatever help in work they needed. Life was indeed funny.
