It declined as women's rights increased. There are various globalist "population planning" documents that openly state fertility is destroyed by "female empowerment."

This should be obvious. Take women out of the home, put them in school until 18, then college, then work - no time for babies. Crude demonstration: Compare maps of total fertility rate to gender equality index. Other factors contribute, I'm sure, but imo feminism is a leading cause, if not the leading cause. People who write papers on the Demographic Transition only ever mention feminism to demand more of it, claiming that it somehow *solves* declining fertility.
