Grain-fed cows: Typically live in crowded feedlots where they are given hormones, antibiotics, and pesticide-smothered corn & soybeans. Release more gases (because they aren't eating their natural diet) and require 100% more water than grass-fed cows.

Grass-fed cows: Consume a natural diet, don't require antibiotics and hormones, and get plenty of sunshine and movement. Have healthier digestive tracts that emit less gas, and contribute valuable topsoil that actually helps to REMOVE carbon from the atmosphere.

Plant-Based diets are very high in phytonutrients and antioxidants that may prevent cell damage and disease. The bottom line: There's a spectrum of fruits & vegetables. Some are healthy → some aren't necessary. There's a spectrum of meats. Your body NEEDS the essential amino acids & fatty acids found in healthy meats and seafood → but not the junk in processed meats.

You have to do what works for you. I've tried both carnivore & vegan diets. After 10 years of researching & experimenting: I look, feel, and function at my best on a BALANCED seasonal diet that involves meats, seafood, fruits, vegetables, and NO ultra-processed JUNK FOODS.
