(1/4) Top Dawah is freaking out over the Ahruf dilemma, just as it did over the Islamic Dilemma.
We have already watched Orthodox Muslim, Deen Responds, and ISIS Bride 1 Korra get caught making stuff up and sources.
Now, a new character has been unlocked, aka it is Jake the Metaphysician's turn.
After losing debate after debate, Jake is now trying to rescue the Ahruf from exposing the Quran as the product of Uthman's standardization and Islam as Uthman's Islam, containing no divine text.
And to do it, he presented a mutilated quote, hoping nobody would read the next paragraph.
This is a four-part beatdown.

(see Image 1) Jake quoted al-Tahawi saying that "a group held" the seven Ahruf were seven modes or parts of the Quran.
He then used that to suggest that Hafs, Warsh, Qalun, and the other recitations can all be treated as different "parts" of one complete Quran.
But that is not what the passage is actually discussing. Now look at the "highlighted text" in image 2, taken directly from the book, that Jake conveniently left out.
The next lines explain that these "parts" are categories of content: 'command, rebuke, lawful, unlawful, decisive, ambiguous, and parables.'

Now look at the part Jake conveniently left out.
Ahmad bin Abi Imran says: "This interpretation, in my view, is corrupt or unsound."
Arabic:
ูุฐุง ุงูุชุฃููู ุนูุฏู ูุงุณุฏ
Then al-Tahawi explicitly agrees:
"And it is as Ibn Abi Imran said."
Arabic:
ููู ูู ุง ูุงู ุงุจู ุฃุจู ุนู ุฑุงู
So Jake presented a rejected interpretation as though it were al-Tahawi's own classical solution

Jake's argument collapses on every level. #BUSTED
- He confused Ahruf with Qiraat. #BUSTED
- He turned categories of Quranic content into variant recitations. #BUSTED
- He omitted the sentence where the interpretation is declared corrupt. #BUSTED
Then he cited the CORRUPTED & rejected view with no shame.
Jake's own source does not rescue him. It exposed him.
