Eh, fuck it I said

I technically debunked this before but I'll debunk it officially

🧡debunking this below⬇️

Okay, so this first portion is not even an argument but just a fundamentally stupid argument.

There's not much to refute but I'll explain why this doesn't work and provide evidence.

First off, the claim that Loli are meant to "represent real kids" is factually incorrect, the term "lolicon" refers to an attraction to 2-D fictional characters and the appeal of it comes from "Moe-ness", aka a style that emphasizes cuteness

SuperBearNeo
@SuperBearNeo
People who study this for a living make note that there's a distinction between lolicon and pedophilia, with these experts all coming to the same conclusion that Lolicon don't find attraction in children but cute 2-D images

If that wasn't enough, another study shows that pedophiles don't even get off to Lolicon and that children, not drawings, are what is needed for them to feel sexually fulfilled

Saying that Lolicon substitutes an attraction to children is factually wrong

SuperBearNeo
@SuperBearNeo
This second portions isn't necessarily an argument against Lolicon but more so a "counter" to an observation that Lolicon make and that being that Anti, on average, tend to be projecting pedos...

@SuperBearNeo
I won't say all Anti are pedophiles but like, the notion that oftentimes they tend to be groomers or actual predators, is not unsubstantiated

So like, I don't think this claim is necessarily unreasonable, even if it is fallacious

SuperBearNeo
@SuperBearNeo
The third argument is really funny because like, legality doesn't matter for morality but for arguments sake, let's humor this

This is still wrong and here's why that would be...

First off, when speaking about the United States, when it comes to Lolicon, it's not considered CSEM

Quoting the actual law: justice.gov/criminal/crimi…

"Visual depictions include photographs, videos, digital or computer generated images indistinguishable from an actual minor"

As for the obscenity argument, this also is very wrong because obscene material can't be sold legally but there's plenty vendors where you can buy Lolicon, which you can't do for something that's considered genuinely obscene
Thread image
SuperBearNeo
@SuperBearNeo
Case in point:

(Now, I'm not even going get into the fact that Obscenity Laws are genuinely stupid and historically only exist to target marginalized groups and people the country doesn't like but that's for another time)
SuperBearNeo
@SuperBearNeo
The fourth argument is funny because it's the only time a source is brought up and what's interesting is it makes claims that lolicon contributes to pedophilic fantasies and makes it worse

This is just flat out wrong and you know what, here's some studies
Thread image
SuperBearNeo
@SuperBearNeo
First off, Lolicon isn't considered a pedophilic disorder nor does it qualify because pedophilia can only be diagnosed through attraction to children, not fictional objects

This is basic shit that anyone who's read the DSM-V would understand

SuperBearNeo
@SuperBearNeo
Second off, when it comes to fantasy or fiction, the feelings we have towards it can't be compared to what we feel towards actual objects

The "fictionality" of it adds a layer of nuance that otherwise isn't there when dealing with real, breathing people

SuperBearNeo
@SuperBearNeo
Third off, the notion that fantasies correlate to reality makes no sense when said attraction only exists in a "thought-imaginative" scenario

That is to say, an attraction regarding fantasy stay in fantasy and doesn't exist outside of that fantasy

SuperBearNeo
@SuperBearNeo
Fourth off, the notion that Lolicon contributes to pedophilia or otherwise worsens it is bullshit. Actually no evidence to substantiate that whatsoever and in fact, evidence runs contrary to this

Outside of what I posted before, here's more studies

SuperBearNeo
@SuperBearNeo
Lastly, video games causing violence is bullshit

there's no evidence that playing violent video games can lead people doing violence randomly or in general

In fact, Studies have debunked this well beyond reasonable doubt

SuperBearNeo
@SuperBearNeo
The final claim is funny because like, it's a valid concern. Why is it always Anti-Lolisho folk who make a big deal about this stuff but NEVER actually do anything to help actual children
Thread image
SuperBearNeo
@SuperBearNeo
Seriously, Antis are known to just flat out not do anything about child predators, will work with them, will wish SA on people who don't agree with and in general, they do more harm to children than any Lolisho enjoyer could ever do
