"Oh." Jungkook's smile grows. "I mean... Obviously it was rewarding. But do you realise what you saying you love me means to me?"

Taehyung's eyes soften some more, and he teases. "From that Kim Taehyung cupboard you have at home... Yeah I kind of have an idea."

"Hey!" Jungkook blushes. "You can't use that against me. I was an obsessed fan before I became your lover."

It only makes Taehyung laugh harder, before it is interrupted by a phone call. "Huh? Director Kang?"

Somehow, Jungkook gets more excited than him. He gasps. "Is it a new role? Pick up!"

Taehyung smiles. After his last break up, he had started doubting everything about himself, including his acting skills. He picks up the phone, and presses it to his ear. "Hello!"

And Jungkook glances his way for the next several seconds and tries to decipher what they're talking about from Taehyung's expression.

At the end of the phone call, Taehyung looks very obviously happy and is nodding, before he ends the call.

"So...?" Jungkook asks. "Good news?"

"Jeon Jungkook-ssi." Taehyung sighs dramatically, throwing his head back as the wind blows through his hair. "How would you like to have a detective genius boyfriend?"

Jungkook's lips pull up into a smile. "Wow. Your portfolio really has range, hyung."

"It sounds like an amazing role. He asked me to meet him over coffee so we can discuss it, but it's more or less confirmed." Taehyung smiles. "Jungkook... I've still got it, right?"

Jungkook frowns. "What do you mean?"

"Like... I'm turning thirty. The industry will still want me, right?" Taehyung asks.

Jungkook scoffs.

"The industry won't see someone as hot and charismatic as you for decades to come, hyung. What are you even talking about?"

Taehyung bites back a smile, and fondly looks at Jungkook as his heart fills up with warmth. Jungkook is always so reassuring, and always believes in him so much.

Taehyung never, ever wants to have to live without him anymore.

"You are so talented. When you're in a movie, that movie is set to become a success. How can you even doubt yourself like that?" Jungkook scoffs. "I'll fight you."

That makes Taehyung laugh out loud. "Alright, alright. I'm sorry."

"You literally just bagged a role, you bagged the... Hottest footballer as your man." Jungkook himself chuckles after saying that. "And you're doubting yourself? Of course you've still got it. You're only getting better and better, hyung."

"Okay. Sorry I doubted myself."

"Yeah." Jungkook says, still frowning. "Don't do it again. All of this won't happen under Jungkook's watch."

"Okay, sir. I'm so sorry." Taehyung leans in, and presses a kiss to his shoulder. "Sorry I doubted your boyfriend."

"H-hyung!" Jungkook gasps, sunglasses almost falling off. "I'm driving! At least warn me you're going to kiss me."

Taehyung smacks him again.

"It was only on your shoulder."

"Ow. So what?" Jungkook chuckles. "It has the exact same effect on me as anything you do."

They spend the day sightseeing at the beautiful Nami Island.

They walk through the paths lined on both sides by tall trees, go boating as well as ride bicycles together, side by side. Everything about the trip is fun so far.

It doesn't just feel like a romantic getaway. It also feels like a trip with a best friend, because of how close Jungkook and Taehyung have become, and how comfortable they are with each other already.

And Taehyung wonders just how much better it's going to get.

They're sitting by the river in the evening as it's starting to get dark, snuggled up together on a bench. Jungkook has his arm around Taehyung, and Taehyung is leaning his head on Jungkook's shoulder.

"I love this." Taehyung smiles. "I love being here with you."

"I love you." Jungkook bites back a smile. "And anything that has to do with you. So naturally, I love this trip too."

It makes Taehyung chuckle. "Idiot. Are you full, by the way? Or should we get some more corn dogs before we head back? I know you'll get hungry again."

"I am full, thank you very much." Jungkook says, and leans his head against Taehyung. "But I have insatiable hunger when it comes to you."

Taehyung fondly rolls his eyes. "You should be the one doing movies instead of me, I think."

Jungkook smiles.

"Jungkook-ah..." Taehyung begins. "This is nice, right? Us...?"

"Nice?" Jungkook asks. "You knkw that's the understatement of the century."

Taehyung bites back a smile. "So this is... Long term, right? Because I want it to be."

Jungkook frowns. "Long term?"

Taehyung lifts his head and looks at Jungkook, a little confused and briefly nervous. What does Jungkook mean by that?

When all he always does is show Taehyung how much he means to him?

"Umm..."

"What do you mean long term?" Jungkook asks again. "Just say marriage. You aren't planning on never marrying me, right?"

Taehyung narrows his eyes as relief washes over him. For some reason, his eyes sting a little with tears as he looks away and chuckles. "Silly."

"What?" Jungkook sounds serious. "You can't just abandon me right before we get married. I'm in this for life. You aren't planning on getting rid of me or anything... Right?"

Taehyung turns to look at him, grabs him by the collar, and pulls him closer.

"Abandon you?" Taehyung asks. "You breathed life back into me, and you think I'm going to abandon you? If I ever walk down that damn aisle, it will be for you and nobody else. How can you even think—"

Jungkook leans in, and shuts him up with a kiss.

Taehyung goes quiet, and reciprocates, and it calms him down immediately.

They pull back, stare at each other, and then their lips stretch into soft smiles.

"You're an idiot." Taehyung says.

"As long as I'm your idiot." Jungkook says. "I don't really mind."

Taehyung goes back to leaning his head against Jungkook's shoulder.

"So yes... It's settled, then. We must not part ways." Jungkook says. "The next step is a wedding. I don't have a ring right now, or I'd propose to you already."

It makes Taehyung blush so much, and he gently slaps Jungkook's arm, laughing. "You don't have to propose to me right now... Although I wouldn't say no."

It makes Jungkook smile like an idiot. He doesn't make a sound, but his turns his head to the other side, and pumps his fist.

He feels like a winner, because this is Taehyung basically sealing the fate of their relationship with his words. Jungkook clears his throat then, and tries to act nonchalant when he speaks.

"That's good to know. You can't back out of that anymore, by the way."

"I don't want to." Taehyung smiles. "I'd be the idiot if I did. And you!"

Taehyung moves and sits straight up, frowning at Jungkook.

Jungkook's eyes go wide. "What did I do now?"

"You can't fall out of love with me. Okay?" Taehyung frowns.

Jungkook lets out a huff. "You really think— hyung... I have loved you for years. That is never going to happen."

"Okay." Taehyung's eyes well up with tears again, and he crosses his arms and lets them fall. "Because I don't remember the last time I was so happy."

"Hyung... Don't cry." Jungkook frowns, and his eyes start pooling with tears as well. "I promise I'll never change my mind about you."

Taehyung pulls him into a hug, holds him tight and buries his face into Jungkook's shoulder. "Promise me."

"I promise you. There's no question about changing my mind." Jungkook says. "You've been a dream, and now I have that dream. How can I ever let go?"

Taehyung sniffles a bit. "Sorry. I shouldn't get so emotional..."

"Get as emotional as you want to." Jungkook says. "I'm here, no matter what. You don't ever have to tone anything down for me."

"See?" Taehyung smiles, feeling like he's really struck gold. "That's exactly why I love you. You just... Let me be. I can be who I am with you."

"And who you are is the one I'm so crazy about." Jungkook says. "Who you are is the man of my dreams, the man I'm going to marry one day. So please never think otherwise."

Taehyung's heart flutters, and he smiles. "Okay. I hear you."

"Now, smile." Jungkook says. "And never, ever worry about these things."

Taehyung sighs, breathes into Jungkook's shoulder, and nods. "Okay. I won't."

"Now, kiss—"

"We literally just did." Taehyung teases.

"Didn't know there was a limit to kissing..." Jungkook sighs dramatically, biting back a smile and leaning back against the bench.

Taehyung pulls him closer again, and presses another kiss to Jungkook's cheek. "I'm going to tease you for lite. Are you still willing?"

Jungkook turns to look at him, leans in, and presses a kiss to his lips.

"Willing?" Jungkook hugs him, and leans his head against Taehyung's neck before kissing him on the collarbone. "Hyung... This is what I signed up for."
