Universitas Indonesia invited Peter Berkowitz; a zionist and Israel's Genocide defender, as a speaker at the UI Graduate Program Orientation 2025.

Berkowitz has written multiple articles in support of the genocide in Palestine and was also Trump's Director of Policy Planning.

During the orientation, Berkowitz delivered an oration entitled “Education for Freedom and Democracy” despite repeatedly attacking university students and faculty for condemning Israel and supporting Palestine in multiple articles.

In his oration, the genocide apologist stated "Your [Indonesian] constitution protects basic rights—starting with religious liberty . . . freedom of speech, association, the press, and assembly"

None of this is true as the country has failed to protect their people basic rights.
