VITAMIN K2 is easily one of my favorite supplements ever.

Boosts T, anti-aging for the brain, antidepressant, improves insulin resistance, & even anti-cancer.

Let's dive into the science and benefits on K2 (+ how to use it yourself):

Vitamin K2 even boosts testosterone production.

K2 acts as a mitochondrial enhancer, stimulating respiration.

It also upregulates steroidogenic enzymes.

Vitamin K2 treats depression.

K2 (as MK-7) improved depression at just 90 ug/day, a pretty puny dose, in 8 weeks.

K2 fulfills multiple roles in the body that gives it this effect.

The effect is very noticeable in my experience, it's an instant mood lifter.

In fact, low levels of Vitamin K nearly DOUBLE the risk of suicide attempt.

K2 works in multiple different ways to protect the brain.

Vitamin K2 reverses aging in the brain.

Giving K2 (MK-7) to old animals improved

• Anxiety
• Depression
• Memory

by:

• Improving dopamine output (motivation, reward)
• Reducing inflammation
• Reducing oxidative stress

an ultimate cognitive enhancer.

K2 reverses anxiety & depression.

These effects are very evident in animals, where the pro-energy effects of K2 bulletproof mental health.

Vitamin K grows brain cells.

K2 is concentrated in the brain:

• Protects against oxidative stress
• Supports myelination
• Preventing cognitive decline
• Enhances mitochondrial function
• Stimulates neurite outgrowth

essentially enhancing every facet of cognitive health.

Vitamin K2 reverses gut inflammation.

Animals given a gut toxin, when also given Vitamin K2 (MK4):

• Repaired gut damage and barrier
• Lowered inflammation
• Increased mucus production

comparable to the leading drug for IBD (ASA).

One of my go-to's for gut issues.

Vitamin K2 improves insulin sensitivity.

A recent study showed that 90 µg of vitamin K2 as MK7 reduces:

⇨ Blood sugar
⇨ Insulin
⇨ HbA1c
⇨ Insulin resistance

mainly by promoting anti-inflammatory metabolites in the gut.

Another study confirmed Vitamin K2 megadosing markedly improves insulin resistance.

30 mg/day of MK-4 for 4 weeks enhanced glucose metabolism.

K2 evokes biochemical modifications to osteocalcin, a protein that improves hormonal functioning & metabolism.

Vitamin K2 improves mitochondrial function, metabolism.

K2 was able to:

➔ Increase mitochondrial biogenesis
➔ Restore energy production

by increasing SIRT1 - a protein that governs metabolic function.

This reverses insulin resistance + fat gain.

Low dose vitamin K2 also reverses fatty liver disease.

Less than 1 mg (human equivalent dose) MK-7 daily completely protects and regenerates the liver.

High liver enzymes (ALT, AST, GGT, ALP) are the red flag - would consider supplementation.

Vitamin K2 is also a silver bullet for liver cancer.

MK-4 reduced tumor recurrence by >70% and improved survival by >20%.

at 45 mg/day.

The most effective thing I've ever seen in this regard.

Megadosing vitamin K2 reduces cancer by 80%.

45 mg / day of K2 (MK-4) for liver carcinogenesis.

K2:

◇ Acts as an energy generator in mitochondria
◇ Facilitates correct protein structuring
◇ Directly kills cancer cells

Zero toxicity either.

Dental problems? Your vitamin K2 is probably low.

K2 status is inversely related to:

⬩Severity of gum inflammation
⬩Plaque index
⬩Bleeding
⬩Depth of tooth pocket

Literally every clinical parameter.

More people need to know about this before getting surgery.

Vitamin K2 exists in 2 main forms: MK-4 and MK-7.

The research on K2 is pretty split between both. Both have utility.

Personally, I've always used MK-4 with myself and clients.

Can start as low as 2 mg and can go up to around 45 mg without worry.

Here's MK-7, need much lower doses (50-200 mcg) healthnatura.com/true-k2-mk7-50…

Vitamin K2 works in a few different ways to promote health.

1. It serves as a cofactor for carboxylation reactions. Essentially - it modifies certain proteins in the body, which ends up altering their function. This seems to be behind many of its beneficial effects

2. Prevents excessive calcium uptake. Calcium is very important but should not be chronically elevated in tissues like the brain or arteries. Sustained calcium elevations cause overexcitation, cell death, hardening, basically a bunch of things that cause disease.

3. Supports mitochondria. K2 actually serves as a component of energy production in mitochondria, and supports them via the aforementioned mitochondrial biogenesis increase.

4. Decreases estrogen. Estrogen can become elevated and drive multiple issues like gut problems, heart issues, and stress. K2 prevents estrogen overload.

5. Antioxidant / anti-inflammatory. These are the prime causes of death and destruction within tissues, contributing to just about every pathological condition under the sun.

MK4 is most abundant in liver, egg yolks, hard cheeses, and dark chicken meat.

MK-7 is mainly in natto (fermented soybeans), certain aged cheeses (Brie, Gouda), miso, sauerkraut & kimchi.

However, for some of these effects, you might need to supplement for bigger doses.

K2 has been a part of my health improvement for years, but it alone will not be enough to truly achieve optimal health.
