I know comments are flooding asking LJH to leave the national team. Unfortunately, it may not appear as easy as it seems. Here's why: Prior to LZJ's long break from injury, LJH is the only one who has won at least a title (S100). ...he (NTY) hasn't won any WT titles yet thus far in his career prior to his injuries. Justin Hoh's best achievement was also only reaching the finals once in the Macau Open 2025, and he has no titles yet in contrast to LJH.
Go through the analysis in my article and you will realize that: 1. LZJ is the only one who won titles above S500 tournaments and he was already independent by then. 2. LJH is the only one left with at least one title (S100) shown ever since LZJ left.
3. Even Aidil who showed some growth later also has yet to progress far in obtaining titles, not to mention the other MS representatives in the national squad to make it to WTs. As you can see, for the past (at least) three years, the MS department is considerably stagnant.
So, my main point is, removing any current representatives in the squad is not going to solve any problem. The coaches have given their all, but it's most probably the players who have to help themselves because how much can be executed on the court is on them.
I apologize if this remark is hurtful or even offensive. Unfortunately, Leong Jun Hao is the only saving grace thus far in the national squad. I know whether it is the national or independent squad, what matters is fighting for our beloved country, however,
there is a reason why it is called the national team. While no one can surpass LZJ at the moment, there is also no one who can surpass LJH at the moment.
