Varicoceles are distended veins within the scrotum. It is a common cause of male infertility but many people with it don't even know. Amazingly this condition can be repaired surgically. Men please check if you have varicoceles and get treatment if indicated.

VARICOCELES ; 1. Feels like bag of worms 2. Found mostly at the left scrotum 3. May disappear when you lie down depending on the stage 4. Can cause severe pain 5. May lead to male infertility

Though Varicoceles may be asymptomatic, they are common causes of male infertility. This is because the male sperm cells are very fragile & varicoceles create temperatures that are not suitable for sperm production since it affects the testis too. Ladies check for your men!

Asymptomatic varicocele essentially may require no treatment. But if symptoms occur, a varicocelectomy procedure is done to restore proper venous function thereby restoring fertility. After surgery, researches have shown that men are still able to impregnate their partners !
