Paul: At the games, we were in such a bubble because all the competitions were so close together, and we were really mindful of not getting distracted. I don't know if it's completely hit us in a lot of ways, but we had so many people reach out, so many positive messages.

On changing their free dance to Wuthering Heights: We trained it in bits here and there. We didn't over drill it, so it kind of just allowed our bodies to still be in shape. We relied on what we had the past year.

Paul: We had our first conversation while we were still at the Olympics. We had a lot of time when we finished to think about what we wanted to do and whether we wanted to compete here in Prague. Giving ourselves a challenge, giving ourselves something fresh and something new

going into these championships, might just put a little pep in our step because the training at the end of the season can already be so difficult. It can be hard to just review things over and over. We gave ourselves an ambitious project and I think that gave us a lot of momentum
