Legendary YouTuber/podcaster Common Filth (@Common_Filth) passed away recently. His mom posted about it on her Instagram page. I know Common Filth's real name from a private interaction some years ago, so I can confirm it's him. I never met CF in person, but I've known him online for a decade. He was a major presence on YouTube with his satirical videos making fun of libtard sexual deviants ("Tumblristas") and was sounding the alarm on things like radical trans ideology long before it became mainstream. He was also an early critic of the "alt-right" and his predictions on its eventual collapse were proven right. CF was also an insightful social commentator; I looked forward to his podcasts every week. CF was probably one of the biggest influences on my own thinking; his discussions of the Bible got me in part to reconsider my perspective on Christianity. I was also apparently a big influence on him, as he once told me he had been following my work for years before he began his YouTube channel Common Filth was one of the first major figures to fall victim to the online censorship wave after Trump's first election. The day after Trump's victory, he had a Tumblristas video making fun of libtards who were freaking out banned off YouTube. He was banned from Bandcamp in January 2017 (he had been selling subscription-only podcasts and merch there) and was banned off YouTube itself in 2019. He claims in a podcast that he tried to move his premium content over to Gumroad but was banned from there immediately. If you want to listen/watch his past videos, he was active on Odysee up until recently; the link is on his Twitter profile. You can also find archives of his banned YouTube-era videos and podcasts on the Internet Archive. RIP, CF. You were a true friend.
