Reactive strength is the ability to quickly and efficiently transition from an eccentric contraction to a concentric one. When you think about most sport actions…sprinting, jumping, changing direction, they all come down to how efficiently you apply force. That includes how

much force you can produce (magnitude), how well you direct it, and how quickly you can do it (time). Everything in training should support that equation. To improve it, you have to understand the different means we use the adaptations each one drives, and how to organize

them so they transfer That starts with understanding contractions, eccentric, isometric, and concentric, and how to develop each so the athlete can maximize what they already have. From there, it’s about blending it all together building the physical abilities (biomotor),

making sure they transfer to movement (biodynamic), and maintaining the energy systems (bioenergetic) that let the athlete repeat it consistently. That’s the foundation of my system. If you want to see how this all ties together, how we use specific means, contractions, and

programming to improve force efficiency and speed, it’s inside Speed Kills (newest ebook/program) and The Art & Science of Sport Preparation. Both are included in the Project Speed Bundle, education, application, and full training systems in one. fredduncantraining.com/product/projec…
